Is Axela a station wagon or hatchback? I think Axela is a hatchback, the class of Auris and Impreza Atenza ndo ina station wagon, the class of Fielder and Outback.

Very good review Erick..comparing from price point is good for kenyans because that is what they look at first.. I think subaru is also doing good with the interiors..better than mazda actually..subaru legacy which is just slightly more expensive than these two i think gives better balance on price vs quality.

Owner of Mazda axela for three years now. One thing I can tell you about this car is that its reliability is just on another level. Just use manufacturer recommended spare parts and it will never let you down. In terms of handling, quality of interior, general performance on the road Golf is superior to Axela but again once Golf ikianza kuleta shida, utalilia chooni. A friend owns a 2012 Golf, he imported it, 2 years down the line, shida baada ya shida, the car will literally stall on the road over small things like sensors. I also think our mechanics are not up to the task when handling these German cars, it is a headache ikianza mashida, but when it is in good shape, it is a Very Super car!

I'll correct you on two things - 2l Axela is not turbocharged as you said hapo 9:53 - The diesel engines have no issue. Our mechs are the problem. Other than that, nice content. All Axela hybrids are sedans and the hybrid system + CVT tranny are borrowed from the Toyota Prius. Only the hybrid has a CVT transmission.

For boot space that is a wrong comparison the Axela is a hatchback so for that comparison you should review the VW station wagon against the Fielder.
