Head to Head. Bad Boy Maverick HD vs Dixie Chopper Blackhawk.

Both great machines. What would you guys like to see next?

had my Maverick for a season and it cuts really nice. Perfect mower for a guy that weighs over 350lbs. The suspension and adjustable hand control sold me on this particular machine. I had a big tree we cut down in the winter and a lot of little trees grew up around it and got 2 to 3ft tall and i mowed them down with the Maverick, had to go really slow mowing, but it did the job. Kept waiting for the deck to break.

Just bought a bad boy maverick HD 54 inch with the Honda EFI very well built and very comfortable

Honda is stopping production of small engines and the dealers know that. They were told in 2022.

You have a very rare machine, the HD with the Honda you won't see in the future and very manufacturers offered Honda engines at this price point

The 2023 Maverick HD comes with dual 6.5 gal fuel tanks for a total of 13 gal.

Also, you should consider doing a video on all your tractor attachments. I love my 6’ LMC finishing mower that I bought from y’all last year. It’s a well built unit.

I have the Dixie Chopper Blackhawk 54". I've been really enjoying it. I do like the Parker transmissions, although they are a little sensitive. It will pick the front tires up if you're not carful. The FS Kawasaki so far has been great.

A friend of mine bought a Bad Boy and had trans problems in a short time. He traded it for a JD. My son on the other hand has a Dixie Chopper and has never had a problem with it.

Noticed he didn't give the price on the Dixie Chopper, anywho picked up a Bad boy MZ Magnum three weeks ago, less than 8 hours and the briggs engine is already down. Very frustrating because I really do like the machine, the transmission is making noises two until it warms up.

I can not speak for Bad Boy but I did own a Dixie Chopper and it was the worst commercial mower I have used hands down. The worst part was getting Dixie Chopper to honor the repairs was like pulling teeth. There were about twelve issues with the mower about ten in warranty and two out of warranty. In my business I have used Exmark, Dixon, Husqvarna, Scag, Grasshopper and Dixie Chopper was the worst.

Just curious, when one says good for 6 or 7 acres, does that mean that is all they recommend you cut in one day, one week? I am ignorant to what that actually means. Does it mean how many acres you can cut in an hour?

Typically, what the machine is rated to cut in one outing. I would say, size your transmission according to the acreage you will cut once a week.

My Dixie chopper magnum 2460 Kawasaki fs730v has been the worst mower ive ever owned its never lasted a whole cutting season with out a major break down the mower cuts like crap and breaks every single year super aggravated now its down it ran out of gas.. i filled it up and now its smoking wont move and i cant figure it out
