I did the maths: Supposing there's around 1 Billion 50p coins in circulation and the diameter of a 50p coin is 27.5mm... The average circumference of the Earth is around 40,000km.......... All the 50ps lined up would go around the world just under 1.5 times. :D

The diameter of the world in cm is 1.2742 billion so doing the maths roughly two billion five hundred fifty nine million six hundred thousand cm is the length of all 50p laid side by side. So if you laid all 50p in circulation they would go around the world just over 2 times
