Speaker isn't just volume. The 5 distorts everything. It does sound marginally better than a potato though.

Super comparison. I have pixel 2 xl, but I love pixel 4 xl over pixel 5 because of SD855, speaker and facial recognition.

I have both pixel 4 and 5. Playing with both. My pixel 4 is just better at things. I like the pixel 5 but it 5g is no faster than 4g. I can attest to that I checked and tested internet speeds (lte) at&t ..and 4g is just as fast as current 5g. Also the speakers are weird on the pixel 5. My 4 sounds cleaner . The voice commands and camera are far superior on the pixel 4. It has the neautral chipset just for the camera ..the pixel 5 does not. Translation ..I can snap ten photos (pixel4)in the time it takes to do 4 on the pixel 5. This is simply from the shutter working faster. Each press it snaps a shot. Pixel 5 takes a second to focus.

Good test! You should do the screen brightness test with adaptive brightness on being that the screens get brighter with it on. That's what we wanna see since that's how we use our phones

@@mackmccord3743 well I can tell you it doesn't. I've just tried it. Actually exactly the same top end score with adaptive on as off... That's two phones that have given that same result now. Even if it did, if all devices react in a similar way, we still now which are brighter by measuring the highest if goes with it off, surely?

I chose a certified pre-owned Pixel 4 and my only complaint is face unlock in the pandemic age. I miss fingerprint readers. But it was a little bit cheaper, and far more environmentally responsible to buy used. No regrets.

Much better on the 4 series. By huge margin, the Pixel 4 renders photos much faster, due to dedicated chip and higher tier processor.

Could you do a battery drain test between the pixel 4 and pixel 5? I have the pixel 3, 4 and 4a and the 4a does much better. Heavy use on the 4a, lite use on the 4 and the 4a still does a better job.

Ok so great video thank you. I've got the pixel 4 bought it on eBay for £320, very tempted to get the 5 for the battery life but the speaker volume does put me off. I would rather stick to a small phone. I know the 4a 5G would be a better alternative but it is bigger and I don't want that. The 4a has better battery but misses the 5G.

When I'm gaming or watching videos, I don't actually notice the speaker being an issue. It didn't sound very good on a phone call though.

Keeping my 4xl, why? The 855, face unlock and I luv the squeeze feature. Plus that under display 🔊sounds muffled. It was not such a swell idea. The other two sound better? Plus at 7oo.oo + tax, nah. Should have been 550.00to600.00 max. The 765 is still a mid-range processor? Google chose a new road with the five, but it's not my bandwagon? But a 5xl would have turned my spokes, waiting for the pixels6 or not! Besides, Amazon just sold me an S20 FE for 549.00, the 865 & 120hz display. Great price for what's offered!
