Quake still remains the only game requiring lots of skill. Just the fact there are no headshots means a lot. Infact, the only 'headshot' kinda thing (1 rails from spawn would kill you) was removed by giving players 125 hp from the start when a rail did 100 damage. Then they took the rail down to 85. Quake > all.

@ElegantArtz yes we play it. i play in 208.167.225.132:27960 server. original version, not patched. however if you patch it you can see like 2000 servers. but i prefer this server cause there is a good mod

u can save video on ur PC (in Q3) and send it to some1 else who can edit it just simply accessing to Q3 zipped archives (possible via total commander) and edit them via photoshop.... archive contains player/weapon/projectile models/skin p.s. i know that dude IRL

flow of the game, make it feel natural, this would open up doors for any defraggers or team trick jumping. I know you're probably looking at all these games that have already done it, but I'm not talking about doing it exactly the same, improving on it, building on it, opening up MORE movement possibilities than before. Build maps around the movement. lil cracks that give you access if you can slide though it or dive through it at just the right height , speed , distance for

if done close enough and timed right, use their mele for a quick kill. maybe each character instead of all rocking the gauntlet or axe like previous games, gets background specific weapons, but all have the same effect w/ zero advantage) BUt also keep everything like you were talking about with the weapons RJ's GJ's PC's. Add everything into the mix + the weapon movement, imagine the crazy shit you can do in the game. Imagine what you can TRULY focus on when you take strafe jumping

Hmm my quake 3 isn't switching weapons that fast. Or is it switching faster in CTF? In my Q3, when i switch a weapons it takes like 3-4 seconds to really switch.

Not only that FASTER weapons (by that I mean the plasma, bullets , rockets travel faster) FASTER weapon switching (CPM, OSP, GTR style), maybe secondary fire for the classic balanced guns in duels for added depth, entirely different guns in other modes that cater to the objective for whatever you are playing. Maybe even moderate map damaged that could very well

q3a in all it's incarnations (vanilla, osp, cpm, defrag, ql and so on) is the best skillbased game ever. it's stylish as hell, easy to pick up and shoot at some green robots, but extremely demanding at at the highest level. when you get it right though... magic!
