Love both you guy's channels. Watch them all the time. I run into this problem so much in SW Florida. Builders here look at me like I am crazy when they discover this problem way after construction.

So far if this issue is ignored this mistake has cost our clients $30k+ in mold/water damage remediation, HVAC duct replacement and reconstruction costs. One project cost the builder near $90k. Something easily avoided during construction.

It's kind of late now with all of the framing in, but could this have been solved by planning to put in the sheething before installing the door frame so that you could seal the frame to the sheathing?

And I thought it was only me having to find solutions to tricky situations 😂

Seems like this kind of thing should have been figured out at the drafting table. Come on Matt, you are the expert on monopoly house framing and this happens. Probably a house for a rich oil industry exec more concerned with where the wet bar was going to go than his energy bill!😂
