Hello from the States. Thanks Niko for describing your journey with the Kia EV6. I enjoyed hearing about your likes and dislikes about the car. Amsterdam is a great city.

Navigation works with charging stops, and you can filter which kind of chargers, and which networks you want to include in your planning. It prepares your battery for charging. Also, it reschedules charging based on availability.

Nice to hear that, I guess Kia made some good updates since I last tested the car!

The HDA2 works perfectly fine for me. Not sure what issues you are having? I really enjoy the interior and the minimal design.

HDA improved a lot during the drive, maybe it needed to calibrate as it might not have been used that much before 😅 I guess that’s also just a personal preference! Still really liked the EV6 in general 😁

For anyone else watching this here are some thoughts from an EV6 owner that might clear up some of the reviewer's concerns: - You can set a default state for the nav/climate controls by long-pressing on the switch icon, this makes it more consistent. I have my climate controls displayed by default and pressing the switch button and turning the volume knob is muscle memory now. - you can change regen modes and intensity by using the paddles behind the wheel. A long pull on the right paddle engages/disengages the auto regen mode. - Highway road tripping in Sport mode is the least efficient way to do it, go to normal or eco mode for highway driving and you'll have more range. The GOM changes to reflect your predicted range as you change modes. - Re: the charging stations in the nav; you can deselect AC charging locations from the filter and only show DC fast charging stations. You can also filter by charging network. You can also set your favourite stations and you'll get a notification in the infotainment screen showing how many stalls are available when you drive near one of your favourites. - Re: auto lane changing, you need to have the HDA icon displayed in the dash for auto lane changes to work. It is only available in some highways. That said, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist do 99% of the same thing.

Thank you for that awesome info! We found out about most of the things you mentioned, also I think HDA needed some time to calibrate. Also I think sport mode doesn’t change too much in efficiency with the RWD car as is has no front motor to keep engaged! Also the A/C-infotainment controls are to get used to for sure - I still prefer to have separate controls for it! But that of course is just personal preference! :)

What's the reason you drive in sport mode the whole way?
@dieserNiko Жыл бұрын
The accelerator pedal response is much more direct and quick, feels better to me than standard where you have way more travel to get to the same speed!
@An_drew_ Жыл бұрын
@dieserNiko but that's will increase your consumption ain't it?
@dieserNiko Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, if you go light on the throttle it still accelerates how you like it. You just have less travel to go to full acceleration, so the pedal‘s more sensitive!

If your car's spec uses dual motor then sport mode activates it always. That ought to reduce efficiency in way. That was a nice video btw👍🏽
@dieserNiko Жыл бұрын
True, forgot about that! As we had the single motor spec, it didn’t change anything (and as we didn’t have to pay extra for energy as it‘s included with the car, I wouldn’t have cared about both motors being engaged the whole time lol). Thank you 😁 happy to hear that! Part two will be released in about 6 hours 😁

I didn't know that the Atlantic shore is Central Europe.
@dieserNiko Жыл бұрын
Yup, but i’m the Netherlands it‘s the North Sea I think!

@@dieserNiko Well, you're. But still I think The Netherlanss is Western Europe with any measure. But this is just scoff.

Okay good point 😂 but close enough :D

suggestions: Learn the basics of the car before reviewing. Also I own a Kia EV 6 line, I keep the climate control on, and operate the radio sound system from the steering wheel.

That’s all you can get used to over time. My first impressions from renting the car and operating the controls as passenger wouldn’t change. In the end I also came to positive conclusions about the car and it‘s really not bad. I still think the controls could partly be optimized!

You blocked a 300kw charger and can't even pull 100kw, should have used the slower one 🙄

You're crap also Niko 😂😂😂 i drive the EV6 also and its a nice car
@dieserNiko8 ай бұрын
It is a nice car, but some quirks are just not perfect for me. But it’s a e-GMP thing, the things that annoy me also annoy me in IONIQ and Genesis models.
