At least wear some gloves mate, its what you're going to use to stop yourself instinctively if you get knocked off. Not going to mention the t shirt but at least ya hands mate, would rather a rash on my arms then my hands being out of order, I couldn't live without them. Safe riding mate.

Driving on the wrong side of the road with oncoming traffic at 30mph is a big no. Filtering isn't an excuse to drive towards oncoming traffic, ...and I'm only 5 minutes in! Edit: a minute later, the guy is just driving on the wrong side of the road just because there are no vehicles on it. Car drivers would be fined and be catching buses for the next 2 years

What you are describing is "overtaking" which if the below are ensured, is perfectly legal: A) The opposite side of the road is sufficiently clear and safe to overtake. B) There's a clear gap in front of the vehicles you plan to overtake in order to fit your vehicle. C) You have a clear view ahead of you. Now to your comparison between a car and a motorbike is not very relevant. Of course the motorbike has a clearer view due to the mobility, can maneuver much safer than a larger vehicle and is smaller so it will fit in between the gaps. If you tried overtaking with a car you will of course most probably be stuck on the opposite side of the road specially if the traffic is not moving at all. So to answer the last part of me driving on the other side of the road just because there are no vehicles on it, I'm just performing a safe overtake after considering the elements I mentioned above.
