Thank you Allan, it is greatly appreciated. That will get me another 100km down some dirt track, which I am sure I can find an adventure or two.

I travelled around Australia in 1987 to 1989 on a CX 500 but never made it to Tasmania, which now I feel was a big mistake!!! Och well I will just have to come back sometime soon :)

So I just watched this episode today...immediately after hearing about the cargo ship that struck and collapsed the Key Bridge in Baltimore. What a coincidence when you spoke about a similar incident happening to the Tasman Bridge in Hobart....
@freewayproject9 ай бұрын
That is a coincidence. thankful they could clear most of the traffic off the bridge, but sad to hear there were some workers still on it.

Loving your vids, however just a heads up from a local, what you show as the rock pool at 1:26 near the longley pub is not the actual rock pool. If you head up stream a bit further there is a rock face you can jump off into a larger pool. Wicked spot, but popular.
@freewayproject Жыл бұрын
Glad you are like the videos John. I could see the large rock pool, but there was a guy and girl there that seem to be getting it on, so I didn't want to disturb.

Will ad a quick story, my bro lives near Tunnack and fishes the Colebrook dam which is back roads to get to. There was 2 houses that got burned to the ground near the dam, apparently the first one burned and the owner accused the bloke next door an burned his down to settle the score.

Thanks for another great video east coast is stunning, the bike seems to be running well. Maybe when you're back you could do a video on the gear you used, what you didn't need ect. First video I have seen on your channel, I'm going to take a look of the others for sure. You know why we are here I was looking for advise to plan my Tasmanian trip in November, Ill keep watching but if you feel like give a little advise it will help. Ciao :)

Glad you enjoyed it mate. Tasmania is a great place to explore. There are a heap of free places to camp if you going to camp, there are also a bunch of places that might be $6 to camp. I'd suggest getting Wikicamp (Australia) if you don't have the app, it shows where there free camp site paid campsite etc.... You can also easier just camp anywhere especially on the west coast has there are not a lot of people there and a lot of empty spaces. The west coast is more rugged and raw, the east has more towns and bays which are sheltered. The best plan would be to do a loop around the coast then head into the highlands in the centre. I think I have 9 episodes in Tasmania but I barely scratched the surface. This is the first episode getting over to Tasmania then the rest follow form there kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2msiZl7hLF9Y9U Hope that helps.
