AirPods head tracking requires an Apple Silicon Mac as far as I know.

Sure, as long as you use a head tracking plugin that can take in OSC.

Thank you for another interesting video! I tried it too (M1 MacBook Pro). Back then there was a noticeable delay. What is your experience?

Nothing out of the ordinary. There will be a slight Bluetooth related delay but I did not experience it to be worse than with other trackers.

Is there any software that will allow me to use headtracking in Apple music without using Airpods? I can't stand earbuds of any kind. I only wear over-the-ear headphones. I have a couple head-tracking plugins that work with Logic Pro, but I'm looking for a way to integrate it into my Apple Music Spatial audio listening.

If you want to use Apple Music Spatial your alternative options would be any of the Apple over the ear headphones with personalized Spatial Audio. The AirPods Max would work. If I’m not mistaken the Beats Studio Headphones should work as well.

Great! I have not tested that since I don’t have an Intel based system. My understanding always was that head tracking with AirPods requires Apple Silicon. Did you try the Intel version?
