Headlamp replace 2010 Hyundai Sonata

I spent a bit of time going through all the video that say they show the 2006 - 2010 Headlight assembly replacement - They do not deal with the 2009 and 2010 which is a slightly different assembly - I spent 45 minutes searching for the third bolt then I found your video - 5 minutes later I was DONE with both headlights! Rock on!

So, It appears there is NO THIRD BOLT on the 09-10 Headlight Assembly, thus?

⁠@@bepilc. That is correct and I have not been able to find what is keeping the assy from sliding forward and out. It is not a hard connection such as a bolt. Some sort of interference stops the assembly after about 1” of forward movement.

QUESTION: Are there plastic mounting tab male slide projections on the bottom of the 09-10 Sonata headlight assembly to position the unit? QUESTION: NO third screw on 09 & 10, as there are on the 06-08 units?

I encountered the same thing you mention and haven’t been able to get past it with a little time. Can’t see or feel what is holding it but it is certainly at the bottom and is not a bolt.

You can register a complaint with Hyundai directly at their website. There is even a category for dealer service issue.

My 2010 has 3 on the top of each light

My headlamp did not come out. It seems it has another screw but don't know where it is

2009 and 2010 have only 2 bolts. However something at the bottom prevents the assembly sliding all the way forward. I don’t yet know what it is.

This is misleading. There is a third bolt on the driver's side lamp that isn't even addressed.
