Thanks for this tuto, but my question is how to force webapp to use the master database pod when insert, delete or update record , because this headles server point to one of the databases pods and the operation faild when it point to the slave database

if sql gets deployed on worker nodes then the storage class (as it is on ur repo) its useless hence nothing works.

Thanks for this Great video ! I just have couple of questions 1. What if the Master Pod goes down or is unreachable how will the headless service work. Since in a realtime application we will hardly change database connection url 2. Generally for an application we have a single database connection string then how are we going to separate w.r.t application like insert should use headless service and select should use read service

It is based on Leadership election. If master pod.01 goes down, it is the responsibility of Headless Svc together with statefulset to make the 2nd ordinal pod as master & take over, until pod-01 comes alive.

Is it a better idea to use a client library like etcd client library or zookeeper etc for failover and have multiple Write pods running on different nodes, so that if a Write POD has an issue, another Write POD running on same node or another node can take-over based on the requirement.
