This is how I installed my high beam LED from headlight experts.com to my 2009 Subaru Forester. At first, it looks decent and will fit in easily like a plug and play fitment. after 30 mins of trying to figure out how to install it without breaking it. This is how I thought of installing it, its simple and fast. Hope this will help out to anyone who has the same car as mine or anyone who will use HeadlightExperts products.

They're mounted wrong. In a REFLECTOR HOUSING, the LED'S must face LEFT & RIGHT, NOT UP & DOWN. UP & DOWN facing LED'S are for (Some) PROJECTOR HOUSING lights. Hope this helps. 😁

So I have a 2015 gmc sierra with projector housing your saying they should face up and down the led chips?

@@soleslayer91 No. I have projector in both my vehicles. And the LED's have to face side to side. Each vehicle's projector housing I believe is different. So I'm told. I looked up your bulb size & if the chart was correct, you take a 9012 bulb standard. I would suggest taking out at least one bulb from your housing, measure it & get an LED bulb size 9012 that is the same size. Sometimes you have to watch your clearance between the bulb end (where the plug end is) to the dust cover is. Some LED will not fit and allow you to screw the dust cap back on. I'm not sure about your particular vehicle, but of the bulbs are not inside a housing and are in sight, I'd still check to see what clearance you would have from the bulb plug end to whatever it may be close to. Also I would suggest a set of LED Bulbs that are CANBUS READY, so to eliminate any possible dash light error code message. (6,500k daylight) is usually a good clear, white light. I would recommend, as I have used these in my vehicles, LAST FIT LED Bulbs. lastfit.com , I believe is their addy. Input your truck info and check it out. If you need help, you can call them or email them & they are great to help you out. Other brands I've used in friends cars or my older cars would be Auxito, Marsauto, Lite Moses. Can br found on Amazon. Lastly, if you have housings with dust caps, if you tuck the wire for your bulb that is connected to the power wire inside the light housing good, it will be out of the way so you can screw that cap back on. Hope, I helped you out. Let me know what you get and how they work. Any questions, message me here. And I stand corrected on the up/down led bulb position for projector housings. This would be only for very few select style projector housings. Some Projectors such as my SELTOS EX has a flapper type reflector inside the housing, to allow only half the light emitted for (low beam) & when flipped all the way open, it allows all the light to be reflected out for high beam.

@MasterSumai I been fighting with clocking my lights at 9&3 and there's no possible way to achieve that. I called the manufacturer headlight experts and they say the wire when installed correctly should be facing left or right putting the led chips at 12&6 that I can achieve but reading about it everyone said 9&3 so I don't know. They are adjustable but not 360° so to achieve 9&3 I'd have to just stick the light and and wouldn't be able to turn it to tighten it or it would go more 10&4🤔🤔

I just installed these in my mom’s 2008 Elantra Sedan Low Beam H11B . Just insert twist and turn . Done . Great light output . 9005 , 9006 & H11 are just Twist and turn. Nothing to remove . H4 & H7 Yes .

I did try to just put it on like how it’s supposed to and without doing all the hassle of removing anything. But unfortunately the ones I got didn’t fit. Called their customer service but got unlucky.

Sorry haven’t done the high beam on it. It looks nice looking at the car, so bright but problem is the light is so spread out. Basically it’s just like a parking light

Headlight Experts This was the worst company I have ever done business with. I have never written a negative review before, but this business is not nice to customers. They sold me lights that did not fit correctly. That's not my opinion. I took the vehicle to a local professional shop to have them installed and that was the the shops opinion. They are mean and rude. I wish I had looked at their reviews before I purchased from them. Most past customers have had problems. Also they have a 20% restocking fee. Who does that now days on the internet. Just forget it!!! Save yourself some pain and go elsewhere for LED Lights or anything else they sell.

Bought these for a 2006 Pontiac Vibe. Even bought them with the capacitors.Don't buy with the capacitors, it makes the installation more difficult.The low beams didn't shine very far and the high beams were up in the sky.I installed them as sent from the factory.Asked for a return and was told I could not because they were used. This company gives very bad factory support. Do not use them for headlights.

@@matthewadonis3020 hi, I mean the color output of the led or hid. Don’t go over 5k. If you go 6k it will be bright white and then if you go over that let say 8k it will be blue

Pretty sure you didn’t need to take those screws and plate off... headlights are designed to twist into those slots....

Ray Romero hello! it would’ve been really great if i didn’t have to do all these extra steps to make usable. unfortunately for me, it does not fit as it was designed to. I’ve tried and got tired as it was too tight and hard to push in and twist. This method was the best way to do it. Even when I put the plates back in, from looking at it the plates looks a little bent or a little bulge from the tightness.

Yes no need to remove anything . Check Last Humans Garage , he’s got a Forester no headache with a 9005 at all .

Mr. Worf thanks, i just watched it. he has a 15 fozzy with different brand of led aswell, not all brands are the same. so I don’t recommend the brand that i bought.

These bulbs are awful, and they won't even accept a return. Output is maybe equal to the original halogens - maybe. Customer service has a major attitude. I'd give them away, but that would be a disservice to the next person!

You didn’t install these correctly . First there not pointing the right way . Put them in the vertical position . Removing those 9005 rings isn’t needed . They should just twist and turn .

Mr. Worf lucky it fitted fine with yours. but im pretty sure its twist and turn on mines as well. i tried but couldn’t get it in and removing the rings was my last option, after the rings were re-installed, the rings were a little bent because of the tightness.

donlyl3 Very strange , the 9005 is the correct bulb and the tabs should line up with the notches on your rings and it should just drop in and twist & turn .I’d almost think they sent the wrong bulbs . Your solution is very inventive . You may wish to contact these guys . Good Luck ! 👍
