I know this is over a year old and that this update has been patched over by now BUT it still works. Spent 2 hours uninstalling my drivers and re-installing and trying different USB ports. This fixed my issue in 30 seconds.

My solution was a tiny bit different than the one in this video but it worked. For me, the "allow apps to access mic" button was ON, but still no mic. Then just for a test, under "choose which apps can access your mic", I turned ON every option listed. Now the mic on my headset is working. Might be worth a try. Good luck.

Stumbled upon this video while googling for solutions online. Mine is probably due to Bluetooth issue? Mic and audio on my headset has no issues, but keeps skipping intermittently, and the mic will not work at times. Same issue with both my headphones and earbuds. As you experienced, these issues started right after the last windows update. Let's hope Microsoft comes up with a fix...soon.

Can someone help me. I have the Turtle Beach Stealth 400 headset. Headset itself works just fine but not the mic. Everything was already on in the microphone settings. My mic volume is all the way up on my headset and in the sound settings on my pc. My pc does detect that I have a mic on my headset but no sound is coming out. it looks like the Stealth 400 is designed to work with PS3 and PS4 only... however I did a quick Google search and if I'm reading this correctly you can update the firmware which may get it to work on the PC. I say may because on the page Turtle Beach says, "The Stealth 400 was designed for PS3 and PS4 consoles only. We are unable to guarantee universal PC compatibility with the Stealth 400." here's a link to Turtle Beach's support page with the article I found. support.turtlebeach.com/hc/en-us/articles/219760427-Stealth-400-PC-Compatibility there's a link on this page that takes to you where you can download the firmware update and how to install it and everything. I hope this helps. :)

My problem is that everything is fine and enabled, but suddenly my mic just does a screech sound(for who is listening to me) and then stops working, tried everything already but it just dont come back unless i unplug the USB and plug it back in again, then it starts working, but sometimes it works for hours even days without this issue and sometimes it doesn't last a single minute before it stops again, im really going crazy about this.
