So, this is my second ever original song. At least, second ever posted. I love Omori to death, and really wanted to express my love in a way I know how to: song! I hope you can enjoy and get behind all the small nuanced references, and can cope with my novice mixing/mastering mistakes.
All footage has been taken directly from either my own game or compilations of the cutscenes in the game. All footage is owned by OMOCAT, but you already knew this, because I do not own Omori. Duh.
All production, singing, song-writing, etc, was done by myself, and as such, it might not be as polished as some other creators work. But, in time, I'll get better, and honestly? I don't think I did too bad!

As I said I’d love to see an IMSCARED one at some point, (honestly I’d probably be tempted to try and use it in one of the montages for my feature length IMSCARED retrospective video im working on that Ivan let me interview him for, but that really depends how long the video takes to make and stuff, who knows) Either way I know I’ll be listening to what you make next!

No jokes, this is my favorite omori fansong. Nothing else has been able to perfectly convey the chaotic emotions running through Sunny's head as everything around him crumbles into an uncomfortable, broken symphony that he lost control of. Basil disappearing is simply a catalyst for it. Not to mention the pain you can feel when he describes the fact that his friend went missing. It provides excellent insight into Sunny's mind, and belongs in the same exact tier of the game itself. The fact that you can do that in the span of four minutes just goes to show that you are a very talented artist.

Goodness, this reminds me a lot of the source material and I'm living for that. The twists between calm and desperate (that at times felt like small, yet very welcome, jumpscares in a way), this vibe of "composed paranoia" it has, which was very much expanded by the singing, the lyrics nodding at different aspects from the game AND THE LINES THAT WERE LITERALLY QUOTES AHHHHHHH THAT SURE WAS AN IMPACTFUL TOUCH 💥. The video too! The play with the fonts sizes and style and the choices for the backgrounds for each section were so fitting aaaaaaaa 💥💥 Gosh... Major banger.

just some things I thought about during the song: “I wake up” - form of irony maybe? because sunny doesn’t wake up from his denial till a long while in the game “Nothing can come undone” - creeping feeling of guilt for mari’s death. sunny knows she’s dead and there’s no changing that but he refuses to believe so “The bulb is as bright as you’d think” - very clever, because the bulb in whitespace is completely black. meaning the bulb isn’t bright at all, for example mari’s grave says “Rest in Peace. The SUN shined brighter when she was here.” the SUN referring to SUNNY “There’s a girl and there’s a boy and then they fight over their toys even though they both should know to simmer down” - sunny’s interpretation of kel and aubrey (AUBREY?! QUIET!!! lmfao) “There’s a brother with some stamina” - sunny’s interpretation of hero “A boy who loves his camera” - sunny’s interpretation of basil “A sister who looks after everybody else” - sunny’s interpretation of mari, however she’s the ONLY one in the mv who isn’t shown. because she’s dead. “In shades of blue, and violet, and indigo too-a vibrant hue.” - describing headspace (Hey, Omori! is hero???) “Staring at white and pastel shades so the dark and black don’t eat me away.” - again, sunny’s refusal to accept the truth. instead, creating a happy picture with his friends in headspace. “Why is the melody that’s played so soft? It seems to drift away..” - mari’s soft presence drifting away (because she’s dead) (Hey, does anyone know where Basil is? Huh? Oh, I’m not sure..) - the plot in headspace where you set out on a mission to find basil “My friend’s gone. I couldn’t have told you how long-I couldn’t have said what was wrong. But somehow, I think he’s lost..” - basil is gone, sunny never ever told kel, hero, or aubrey what happened because he refused to believe it himself-even though basil was trying to get him to. the only person that knew the truth is gone-which makes sunny dive deeper into denial. 2-3 minutes into the song, sunny slowly starts to regain consciousness. he’s trying to look for basil, his mission is to find basil, his focus is on basil, which makes him think about mari. he’s suddenly reminded that in two days-he moves away. and instead of ACTUALLY spending time with his friends, he spends time with the ones in headspace. “Why is the melody that’s played so soft as I drift away?” - notice how instead of saying IT drifts away-he’s saying I drift away. “But I’m okay” - again, a form of denial. he repeats this twice. “The light that still surrounds me is fading soft and slow.” - sunny slowly making his way out of his denial. he mentions “eyes” which refers to something. “Reckless, harmful little boy-careless, breaking up his toys.” - sunny throwing his violin down the stairs?? “And over time, this world of mine-has crumbled into silence.” - sunny finally waking up and finally, “This tune has played too long in this headspace.” awesome job!!!!!

the video, the singing, the composing is just beautiful! i really love how well this portrays the game itself, and generally how the trauma affects sunny. it starts off as innocent, bright, and happy as it slowly turns into panic as it turns into pure horror. as i was listening to this i heard some samples from the omori battle ost which is such a nice touch! i also love the voice acting bits they are adorable!!im also obsessed with the ending points of this, it makes me think of the ending fight since sunny and omori are two opposing sides, it's like how he is leaving his headspace fighting the urge to disappear as he finally realizes the reality he's in. Woah. This is an amazing song for Omori. The tone and pacing feel exactly like the game, cheerful and cal at the beginning and frantically fast paces near the end. I've known about this song for like a few weeks now but i finally decided to comment because it just hit me how spectacular it is dont know if I can convey how much i love this in words. It's just so good?? I FEEL LIKE IT *PERFECTLY* ENCAPSULATES OMORI LIKE THE VIBES ARE FREAKING IMMACULATE. Highly recommend. It's an extremely emotional game. Might be worth getting for yourself first if the heavy themes are something you're comfortable with. Not to mention it's just a really fun turn based RPG to boot.

This was amazing! When you announced you were releasing a song based on this game, I decided to check it out. One of my favorite games of all time now! I just finished it last night and immediately ran to listen to this. Oh my god you managed to capture the tone of the game so perfectly! I love how it starts off slow and soft and gradually builds to chaos.

You know .. maybe I already wrote a commentary but it was too short for something like that It's... a really beautiful song The more I listen to it, the more I like it and feel that this is one of the most perfect Omori songs. Nice and appropriate voice (and not only Sunny/Omori) Melody (especially at the moment of darkness, so to speak) and the ending is just as beautiful THANK YOU so much

Day 15 - i haven't mentioned how i really like when the subtitles are placed in this video, and where. because they pop up very quickly and swiftly so it feels more satisfying when they pop up and you say it. and also the subtitles being sometimes placed in the omori textbox is really interesting imo.
