I was in Dumaguete for a vacation in 2022 and people talked in whisper every time they mention the name Teves. They were so afraid. I don't know why before. I was there when his brother Pride Teves was enaugurated to become a governor even though the people was saying that Degamo was cheated (in whisper). That's really surprising that they would let Pride Teves sit as governor even though the case was not cleared yet. They must have paid or bullied comelec to agree that his brother sit as governor. When Degamo brought it to congress and won the case, the Teveses could not accept the fact that Pride Teves has to stepdown. It's too much for them to take. They know that everyone is afraid of them and nobody would dare to say anything and so they think they could still get away with murder. Now they know that they miscalculated Degamo's death. Now it's their turn to be afraid. Dumaguete people, with the exception of some, now starting to realize that they have the chance to voice the truth. Hopefully they continue to be brave and not be afraid of the previous consequences such as they got killed if they say something. They should stop being afraid of the Teveses to end their mafia ways.
