Angelina is performing Elvis Presley's Suspicious Minds. It will be posted on Angelina's KZbin cover channel tonight (June 22nd at midnight). Rob will be accompanying Angelina on the piano. Details are on her Instagram. It does make me wonder if this will be in the upcoming Elvis movie. I'd love you to react to this Ellis! Great reaction as always.

Angelina doesn't need all the bells and whistles you describe... It's how she does things: her voice, a 🎤 and the piano.... Pure, raw, honest and every breath she takes... The compassion that is her heart, is what pours out... Then there's the "producer" perspective.....

I would like to remind you once again of what is special about this spectacular performance. Angelina received an invitation to this official event *"virtual visit of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway in the state of California"* which took place in this form due to the pandemic. Angelina's live performance was part of this event via *livestream* . Angelina's words of welcome were primarily addressed to the Crown Prince, those in charge of the government and the world. 💯 *AJ* 💯 By the way, I suspect Angelina didn't choose this song for nothing. 🤗🤗

This is perfection as far as I’m concerned Angelina gets the message of the song across because you can hear every single word she’s singing and the Prince of Norway was visiting the US at this time he was actually in California when this was realised on KZbin. If you want to see her singing a song that’s truly beautiful then watch her singing Suspicious Minds an Elvis song she has just put on KZbin today I’m Elvis crazy and I’m telling you Elvis would be so proud of Angelina her version is pure gold. Her piano player, who has shown up in some of her videos is Rob Christie, a 2 time Grammy Award winning music producer and is Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group based in United States. He has taken Angelina under his wing to guide her through the musical process of creating and producing music....

I think Angelina's preferred MO is exactly what you described. The musician plays the beat and she uses her talent at phrasing to come in and leave (or not leave) as she feels best fits the piece.

I so enjoy your AJ reactions mostly cause I always learn something technically new. I think AJ /was born with/developed an internal metronome hence her amazing a cappella performances. I think AJ has yielded that to this multi Grammy winning pianist at Republic Records, who seems to be mentoring AJ, allowing her to play with her beautiful phrasing and ad libs just like you said. Great reaction Ellis, but that final adlib run is the most beautiful part of the song & you paused twice as she was doing it. I would have been great if you backed it up a few seconds to hear it in one piece instead of 3 short pieces. I believe it's Angelina signing her name vocally to this beautiful work of art. To me, this is more heart-felt & emotional than Michael's version.

Thanks for the reaction... IMHO the most important thing is the song's message and Angelina's rendition adds to that message. Rob, the pianist, ( Republic Records VP, Studio Director, and 2 grammy winner) has recorded several songs with AJ: "All I Ask", "Million Miles", "Easy on Me", "7th Heaven" et al. My guess is that the piano was just where AJ arranged it.

The pianist is Rob Christie a 2-time Grammy winner and head of some portion of Republic Records in LA. I once mentioned in a reaction comment that he appeared to be mentoring her, and I got a reply that she is mentoring him. That gives you some insight into her phenomenal talent.

Very interesting about how jazz musicians need the spine of a regular beat to vary where they put the notes. Angelina and Rob Christie have been working together for over a year now, and they seem to have worked out their collab very well. He's accompanying her on a number of the recent ones, and will be on the Elvis cover that's dropping on her channel tomorrow. Great, fun reaction as always!

Here it doesn't come across as a peace anthem ... but more of a tender plea. Polite and respectful for initiating governmental negotiations between Norway and the U.S.A. I don't think Angelina's target audience were bopping around in their rides with the windows down.

From her heart to ours .. a soft, intimate performance. An improvement over the original IMO and definitely targeted to the intended audience and occasion. Still not my favorite song, seems mushy to my male ego. Pianist runs the LA Republic studio and has been in her recent studio performances. He understands her jazz inspired playing w/ the tempo and works well with it, see; Million Miles, Easy On Me, etc. Autumn leaves is awesome BTW. thanks for sharing
