What if addiction could be healed by changing the way we see it? 45 million people worldwide are estimated to be suffering from addiction. Every 5 1/2 minutes, an overdose death causes someone to lose a loved one. What if there is something we are missing in our current approaches to treating this epidemic? This course applies the lens of yoga to the pervasive issue of addiction.
This workshop presents a framework for healing that integrates teachings, texts, and practices from yoga (non-postural), data from modern neuroscience studies, trauma healing, and current addiction treatment approaches.
