In Irish folklore, the Tuatha De Dannon, aka The Little People, fairies and elves, were one of the original inhabitants of Ireland. They were often depicted as supernatural beings, skilled in science and art, honored the goddess, and had deep insight in natural laws. The Milesians, a warrior race arrived one day and attacked them. Eventually driving them underground, where they built palaces of light.
