The definition of church is the gathering of God's people. So it is important to go to church to fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ. Think of a athlete, they run ,lift weights and practice to be a better athlete. The same is true for the christian. @Elizabeth Hannah With all respect, I have no idea what you're talking about with the "experience of NDE", nor with "eneregetic levels of transformation". The only transformation the Bible is talking about is the one done by the power of the Holy Spirit in us. The one that led me to repentence and then to forgiveness at the Cross. This is the only Jesus I know and that we all know by reading the Scriptures. The "reiki" experience seems to me far (if not opposed) from the deliverance experience from evil in man's heart. I know that this spirituality also has esoteric roots... I would be very careful if I were you. Jesus is to be found at the Cross. There is no "energetic" way to find salvation and forgiveness. The only way is Christ.
