Healing Patellar Tendon Tear with PRP

I have a tare on my patellar tendon I went to the doctor they have a brace some of swollen went down I'm waking on with with crutches however I can't lift my leg up from my knee I can move it back but not forward do you think I need to go see orthopedic

How long post op are you? I'm 6 weeks post op. I can lift my leg & extend farward but it's very weak atm.

I don’t know my exact diagnosis but mri said 25 % tear on the under side of my patellar tendon right at the knee cap on the left side (if your looking at me) Have done months of physical therapy and before that it was rest for a long time (meaning just no athletics) meaning I still walked and when up stairs and stuff like that Doctor gave options like prp , more pt and surgery so I went with the more pt because I’m young but still no luck with the pt, wondering your thoughts Every study I read on prp shows it doesn’t work on tendons or some say just on the patella tendon prp doesn’t work on I play soccer I’m 17 and I would love to get back to the sport I play pain free Surgery is still and option but that was like last resort School soccer season starts in late January next year need help on what too try next because there not really much time left too chose if I do surgery and be able too rehab and all that stuff before the season

Most of the studies on PRP and tendons has been underdosed. It's like taking 1/8th of a tylenol and it not helping your headache, so you claim that tylenol doesn't work for headaches. We see fantastic results with PRP and tendons, but again the dose matters. Our tendon dosing is minimum 2 billion platelets delivered per site, but most of the time we are achieving 3 billion. If you work with a clinic and they can't tell you the dose of platelets they will deliver, it's not a good clinic. If you want to get back to playing soccer asap, come visit us in Arizona. Hi i have been diagnosed by ultrasound that i have a 7mm tear in my pattela tendon. Everyday life is possible but a bruised pain. I just cant run qnd i love running. Would you say a tear 100 percent requires surgery or would prp get my back to running?

If you have complete retraction of the tendon (meaning your kneecap sits way higher on your quad) then that needs surgery. If the tendon is intact, then high dose PRP or stem cell therapy could help heal that and get you back to running. We've successfully helped many patients in that situation

I have patella tendonitis for one year tried collagen/omega 3/ magnesium/ pain killer / ice hot pack / anti inflammation tablets / physiotherapy ultra sound .. laser/ patella braces / visited more than 6 doctos ) .... and the pain still alive .... 💔💔💔💔 ..... and the last doctor tried to convince me for cortisone shot ... but I didn't accept
