Sr. Miriam James is really such a talented, blessed, spirit-filled, skilled, heart-felt speaker! Feeling blessed to hear God and see Mary through Sr. Miriam. I pray to be like her when I'm older :')

I forgive others that have purposely villanized me for having a boundary after putting my kids in an unsafe situation. The hardest things to forgive are other christians that don't repent but are willing to get others involved who dont know what happened behind closed doors. I forgive them all, but boundaries are still up and will stay that way. Other Christians can be some of the most toxic and hurtful. ❤

Dear Sister Miriam, Father John; Thank you so much for affirming the pain, sorrow, and anger I/we feel from things other people have done to us. I don't think I would be able to receive and accept the other precious truths you are sharing had you not included that, as well as Sister Miriam's affirmation that Jesus cares what we have suffered; the wrong done to us is not okay with Him, hallelujah! There is someone in my life I would like to forgive, but I didn't know how to deal with my anger, nor have I come across the emotionally savvy process you have outlined here. After hearing this, I feel I can actually begin this journey because I see now that it's not about me losing something in order to be obedient and come into greater freedom. In fact, as you note, there are great riches to be gained in forgiving this person and others. I'm actually excited to begin this process!

Baptized at birth as a Catholic, went to Catholic grammar school, etc… I spent many years wayward and lost. I always felt Jesus’ presence ( look up the prayer Footprints) now in my older years, I fully understood that God really really loves me. I’ll spare the miraculous details of my life , but in short; I shouldn’t be alive today. My life is full of love and graciously love God. Just be patient…. He’s calling you via the Holy Spirit which works through your reason and heart. I’ll pray for you.

I’ll pray for you. But don’t forget, faith is not about feeling. Sometimes we feel God’s presence, sometimes we don’t. Both are graces and gifts, both teach us something else.

Amen. Thank you. As a Christian, a follower of Christ Jesus, as a Catholic...my personal healing has come through forgiveness and Love for those who have in the past have hurt me deeply. Freedom came to me when I admitted I personally couldn't do it by myself. Giving the whole of all of my past deep pain, hurt, including forgiveness to Christ Jesus was the soul freedom I've been searching for all my life. Doing that exercise doesn't excuse what was done....but I don't carry it around anymore. Thank you Jesus! The want to seek revenge, harbor hatred is a cancer that eats your soul, and I never subscribed to that. Love and forgiveness frees the soul, releases deep hurt that can only come through the love taught by Jesus Christ. Peace, Joy and Love in the Most Holy Light of Christ Jesus. Amen.

This was so needed today.. It is not the first time I heard this talk, everytime the healing goes deeper. Today I was moved to tears with the realization that God is not disspointed in me for the time it is taking me to move through the process. He loves me as he loves the man in the story. If God loves that extravagantly He is also patient. He is not disspointed, his love is not conditional. He knows and sees our efforts and that is enough.

Go deep in the weeds with your faith. I was in your place once. I read the book Confessions by St. Augustine who was a rabble rouser when he was young and , what attracted me to this book, he has an “ intellectual “ conversion. That was 30 years ago and that started my journey to other books explaining my Faith.

I have always struggled with wanting to get even and being therefore vindictive! Have friends who have been terribly abused and need to forgive but so hard because they have become warriors and are so combative. Father talks about letting go of the battle mentality. It takes a great deal of will and grace and humility and trusting in the Lord and His mercy and forgiveness and love! Thank you very much for sharing this. Sister Miriam is so sincere and real as well! God bless them both!🙏💕✝️

I sure wish that preset mass would share just what you have said and fit it into 30 minutes instead of 45 minutes for the congregation. I wish that these things would be tight more. Unforgiveness is a big deal. A really big deal. And this is very important for people to hear. Thank you very much.

Sister, I do understand that I will never understand why some bad things happen...especially to children...I do accept and believe that ALL suffering brings us closer to God....& you said Christ is with us (in the conclusion on this video) in our suffering and pain...at "that moment" etc...I disagree, I do not believe Christ is present when a 4 year old was being sexually abused... but I will pray more for closure and I do appreciate this video and am looking forward to healing through Christ's grace.

Is there a Manuel or self study course with this written up to help me work through this process in my own time? That would be a great resource.❤

Hi I'm not sure if my suggestion would help. Please discard my suggestion if you don't find it helpful for you ya, coz I don't know you 😊 Maybe you can take your time, for example, listen and take notes in a notebook Then take another time to sit with God with your notes of this talk, and ask God to guide you - then pick one or two things that really stand out from the talk..... Take time to process it, with the Lord or together with a fellow brother or sister in Christ. Or a counsellor. Then as you feel ready to move on to processing something else, pick something else from your notes and work on it. A guided workbook is definitely nice because everything has been organized for us. But if there's no workbook, I believe that if we are serious about doing this inner work with Jesus, He will hold our hand and guide us every step of the way Take care, God bless and continue to trust in God. Discard my suggestion if you don't think it is helpful for you -fellow pilgrim, who's also doing this work-

I got injured. Now I have to work to fix myself. They don’t have to do anything. It is like a cancer.

Well if we wait for the person who hurt us to come back and fix it, we will likely be waiting forever. Forgiveness is self empowerment

Jesus said, come to Me all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Remember that Jesus wants to help you heal, you don't have to work to fix yourself alone.

The definition of this video is cheap forgiveness. Biblically you are not required to forgive someone unless and until they come to you, repent and request forgiveness. The kind of forgiveness in this video is dangerous and does not work.
