The Greeks believed that Aurora was the sister of the sun and moon, Helios and Seline, racing across the early morning sky to alert her siblings to the dawning of a new day.
For the Romans Aurora was the goddess of dawn. They believed it’s her mission to bring compassion and self-love to the life of human being. She is here to assist us in finding the way to ourselves and this way can only be mastered by the power of love. It is love that makes us in opening up to our own possibilities and understanding the energies within and around us.
The Inuit natives on the other hand connect the beautiful aurora to another deeply rooted spirit meaning. They believe that the northern lights are the home to their ancestors. So, whenever the northern lights touch earth, their ancestors are visiting to send blessings.
