奥日光は男体山の火山活動で形成された国内屈指の景勝地で、「日本三大紅葉名所」の一つに数えられます。広大なエリアに数多くの滝や湖、高層湿原などが点在していて、これらの滝や湖沼、湿原を巡るトレッキングコースが整備され、特に戦場ヶ原と小田代原を巡るトレッキングコースは人気が高く、秋は草紅葉と雄大な山岳風景が見られ、多くのハイカーが訪れます。
今回は秋にオススメの「奥日光・紅葉絶景トレッキングコース」をご案内します！

Oku-Nikko is one of the most scenic spots in Japan formed by the volcanic activity of Mt. Nantai, and is one of the "Three Great Places for Autumn Leaves in Japan". Trekking courses have been developed to visit these waterfalls, lakes, and wetlands, and the trekking course around Senjogahara and Odashirogahara is particularly popular, attracting many hikers who come to enjoy the autumn leaves and magnificent mountain scenery in autumn.

＜本編の内容＞
■戦場ヶ原 三本松展望台
戦場ヶ原は標高約1,400mにある高層湿原で、男体山の噴火でできた堰き止め湖が湿原化したものであり、約350種類にもおよぶ、多様な植物が自生しています。
三本松展望台は奥日光を縦断する国道120号沿いにある展望地で、駐車場から横断歩道で国道を渡ると、すぐ目の前に絶景が！三本松展望台は、季節の変化を観察するのにも最適な場所ですので、8月上旬の真夏の景色から10月上旬の初秋、10月中旬の錦秋、10月下旬の晩秋、11月上旬の霜が下りた様子など、微妙な季節の変化をご覧ください。
■戦場ヶ原 自然研究路
戦場ヶ原の湿原をぐるりと囲むように自然研究路が整備されており、散策木道が設けられ、貴重な高山植物を間近に観察できます。特に男体山を背景に広大な湿原を見渡せる絶景ポイントは必見です！
■泉門池（いずみやどいけ）
泉門池は戦場ヶ原の北西端に位置する、湧水によってできた池で、戦場ヶ原自然研究路の途中にあり、休憩スポットにも最適です。澄んだ水と倒木が織りなす景色が印象的で、背後には男体山も見えます！泉門池の水は湯川と合流して、戦場ヶ原の中を流れていきます。泉門池の近くに、戦場ヶ原と小田代原へ向かう分岐点があります。
■小田代原（おだしろがはら）
小田代原は戦場ヶ原の南西に広がる高層湿原で、秋には美しい草紅葉が見られる場所としても有名です。凛々しく立つ1本のシラカバは「貴婦人」と呼ばれ、多くの写真愛好家を小田代ヶ原へ引き寄せます。小田代原は周囲約3kmで、戦場ヶ原の約4分の1ほどの広さです。美しい湿原の背後には、雄大な男体山もそびえ立ち、男体山と貴婦人の組合せも絶妙です！
