A Grateful Thank You. We just had a 6.4 quake in Southern California at 10:33 AM and thanks to your singing bowls video - which two were playing as I performed light Spring cleaning - I felt the dizziness caused by the rolling movement, I heard the various wind chimes in my living room all tinkling, and saw two walls moving. Yet, I felt no panic since I had been enjoying your videos for about two to three hours, and just felt calm, centered, feeling little surprise that nothing had fallen or broken. I was surprised to see my previously snoozing cats all awake and meowing, since they were slightly "freaked out", and were asking for my reassurance. I calmed them, went back to my cleaning, but I wanted to post this Thank You before this day passed by because I suffer from hypertension, and know if I had not been calmed down by your videos, my heart rate and blood pressure would have been quite high. This video may be old in YT terms, but oh it makes my brain (my very autistic brain) so happy, particularly when the notes are sustained and then layered. (Oh, how I wish you did more layering. It makes my whole body tingle like it’s getting a good mental exfoliation.) Healing Vibrations By layering, think of it when you hear harmony in voices. It adds what we singers call depth to the the sound (and sometime dissonance which then needs to be resolved and harmonized so the audiences doesn’t feel awkward.) In terms of singing bowls and only singing bowls, it would be starting with one singing bowl and adding another on top...or using two at once. Or three (not possible unless you stop playing one and let the vibration work but you get the idea.) It creates depth, contrast and a deeper level of relaxation (for me anyway.) You can also layer instruments as long as they play nice together. Think of a rain stick and a drum. Both bring up the idea of rain. (Though, to be fair, I like the rain stick alone.) Chimes paired with something airy like a recorder or flute to get that airy feel. Something grounding like a singing bowl needs something grounding (which is probably why everyone hates the bell. It’s not grounding; it’s more airy, thus distracting.) A low-pitched gong, a very low drum, it needs a low, sinks me to my feet feel. (Does that make sense? Or has the autistic “I explain instruments in terms of elements” gotten in the way of comprehension?”)

Muy bonito efecto de colores con esa iluminacion en los crystal bowls esta muy padre la ambientacion para esa meditacion muy sanador aunque un poquito cargado (para mi gusto claro) contar con la presencia de tantas velas al frente + la bola de crystal ..dejando la cuatros lamparas cuadradas era suficiente para lograr un efecto visual "mas equilibrado" para acompanar esa meditacion...a veces por tanto crear una ambientacion specifica al momento de acomodar las cosas para que se ve bien esteticamente termina agregando mas elementos de lo necesario produciendo un efecto visual contrario o sea mas cargado justamente en lugar de mas ligero....cada quien su opinion y esa es la mia...Namaste 😊👌👍

Technically any bowl that plays sound is a singing bowl, but the pitch can definitely be a bit higher on that one compared to the rest. The metal one is called a Tibetian Singing Bowl, if you would like to check out our other videos we definitely have some with just Crystal Singing Bowls. ❤

I wonder if there is a way to make the sounds coming from the (bluish glowing) bowls have the same loudness as the one coming from the metal instrument. I want to fill my room with sounds at a higher volume, but the striking of the metal seems to stick out.

Thank you very much Shu! The sound produced by the crystal bowls and the metals bowls is quite drastic. Our specific metal singing bowl isn't very loud, more sharp, but you can definitely find a deeper resonance of Tibetian Singing Bowls around KZbin. ❤🌌❤

@@HealingVibrations Thanks, actually I prefer the non metallic sounds for its more mellow quality. I was trying to get across the idea of sound balance of switching from one instrument to another, and having similar volume level. This is more noticeable at higher volume.

Yea there is something so deeply peaceful about the Crystal bowls, they're our personal favorite too. The feeling the metal and crystal produce is very different, mixing them could be interesting. 🙏🏼

This isn't really unintentional asmr. This content was created to help put you into a certain state of mind, including relaxation and most probably asmr. Maybe it's not traditional asmr, maybe triggering asmr is not it's main purpose, but it's definitely not unintentional. Unintentional is like when you get relaxed from a chemist performing an experiment or a shoe cleaner performing his work.

Maybe if the bell was softer-sounding it could work? A lighter tap and different drum stick? It kept making me jump and breaking my meditation. I was physically twitching with every bell ring.

Thanks for your feedback everyone.. This video was one of our first that included both types of bowls. We didnt realize how powerfully our metal bowl would ring on our microphone compared to our crystal bowls so it was definitely a learning curve for us. We've made a few more videos without the metal bowl to help prevent the little jump it causes throughout the sesson. Thank you for watching nonetheless!❤❤

Its all good and we’ll have crystal bowls however I noticed u haven’t mastered the sound yet .. it shouldn’t have that gritty sound when you roll it .. try getting a different mallet .. is it a rubber head you are using as this can help along with the way you touch and apply pressure to the bowls as it just seems to constantly have that gritty sound which would suggest you have the wrong type of mallet or floor support & u should use techniques like pressure on the lower rim .. we’re u trained with metal bowls ? They resonate differently and I know u have a fair amount of know how ,. Try to keep ur set up simple there’s no need for all that stuff the bowls are ur centre point the rest are egocentric and not of the Buddhist way - remember the hey us simplicity . Also is there duplicate bowls there ? If so why ? Don’t u have s bowl for each note /chakra ? Try working more on the chakra sounds as it will give u more harmony .. This is not negative feedback I’m simply trying to help as I’ve been a naturally gifted spiritualist and worked with various Tibetan and Buddhist instruments . I have help tutor ppl world wide so I hope u will take my advice on board so it can help u . X

This is one of our original videos so it has a lot of rusty moments, which we have improved in our latest videos :). Gotta tell you...that loud dinging at the very start is NOT conductive to relaxation or sleeping. Woe betide you if you're wearing headphones! The sound ks very sharp and jarring. Sorry, but I cannot listen to this. You might want to rethink your title forthis and warn people that it has such a sharp dinging sound. Not everyone likes that kind of thing, you know.

Those side lighted bowls sounds something like you know lacking the deep sounds of a Himalayan bowl .sounds a bit like hollow .
