Viruses- Even smaller than bacteria, viruses cause a multitude of diseases ranging from the common cold to AIDS. 3. Fungi 4. Parasites 5. smoking tobacco 6. Drinking too much alcohol 7. Poor diet and nutrition 8. Physical inactivity 9. Spending too much time in the sun Risk factors of Illness Risk factors for illness are age, a family history of certain cancers, use of tobacco products, being exposed to radiation or certain chemicals, infection with certain viruses or bacteria, and certain genetic changes, not having certain vaccinations, unsafe sex etc.
