The Better Start Bradford Innovation Hub, part of Born in Bradford, has been working with Better Start Bradford to evaluate projects and early life interventions delivered over the last 10 years in three wards of our city.
We recently hosted a series of webinars to share findings from our evaluations, alongside research from Born in Bradford's Better Start (BiBBS) - the world's first interventional birth cohort and one of its most diverse.
The theme of this webinar was. A focus of the Better Start Bradford programme because of high rates of childhood overweight and obesity and inequalities in access to good quality parks and green spaces across the area.
We explore our evaluation findings relating to Better Start Bradford’s projects and services including the Breastfeeding Support Service, HENRY, Forest Schools Play and the Better Place project. We present key insights and outline our exciting plans for future evaluations. Dr Sara Ahern, Programme Manager of the Better Start Bradford Innovation Hub, concludes the webinar with a reflection on what’s needed to support children’s health and nutrition moving forward, both in Bradford and beyond.
You can find our other webinars on language and communication and social and emotional development here.
