I started paying tithes and offerings last year after coming back to the Lord. Soon after that, the government gave me $8000 because they made a mistake on my taxes for 8 years. And within 10 months I had gotten rid of $14000 of credit card debt. God keeps His promises!

I have a question? I tithe by actually buying for the poor e.g nappies, baby food, food etc. I guess that is another way of tithing

My offerings go to the poor, people in need, etc. My tithes go specifically towards gospel workers. Pray for direction, give cheerfully, and God will never fail you.

I have believed in the Lord my whole life ,when I left home I had to make my own money . I only read the bible sporadically. I did not tithe or go to church often, as I thought I was too busy. Now I am retired and have some time on my hands , I began seeking God and started going to church and bible study. I was afraid to tithe at first but finally decided to try it and see if I could. That was 3 years ago and the Lord has blessed me with extra money I did not expect. I am learned so much by reading through the bible ,watching Christian based utube videos and books. I have had anxiety most of my life ,but the Lord is helping and healing that. Seek him with all your heart and you will be amazed !

Wow !! I searched and searched for teachings on finance and what God and the Bible have to say about it. I’ve heard long sermons I barely understand , some guy talking that’s clearly not following the Bible to good teaching but it’s not about finances per say. UNTIL I came here !! This has been the BEST little chat I’ve had and needed !! Also, looks like the woods back home in Wisconsin. So thank you and mostly THANK GOD !!!!🙏❤️👍💯

This was amazing and well needed for this time in my life. Last year and really the past couple of years have been crazy for me, but not once did I let go of my Faith. For that reason, I began to tithe more and work my best to dedicate time to God in all that I did and currently do. Yes, I am currently in debt, but that is something I am working on getting through God. Choosing to place God above everything else. Next week I have the opportunity to have an interview that may potentially place me in a higher blessing point but I also solely believe that if GOD wants me to be there, it will be so. No matter what I choose and remain on my first path to stay where God wants me to be. Thank you for this video!!!

As a Christian and a Mortgage Consultant/Broker, I have personally seen other well-meaning Mortgage Consultants'/ Brokers' advise their clients to switch from a standard 30 year mortgage to a 15 year mortgage as they refinance their mortgages for lower rates, and thus, a lower monthly mortgage payments. Switching to a 15 year mortgage sounds good and looks good on paper, but can lead to devestating results !! Many, many of those who did switch to a 15 year mortgage had unforeseen life events that made it impossible for them to pay the higher monthly mortgage payments that comes with a shorter mortgage term [ 15years ] (length of years of the life of the mortgage) and subsequently went into foreclosure, lost their homes, went bankrupt, became homeless or moved in with their elderly parents or some other relative which also became disastrous. Because of their bankruptcy, their credit was ruined for 7-10 years: They couldn't buy a less expensive home; they couldn't rent any form of dwelling; when looking for a job, after a prospective employer pulls & reviews their credit reports (which indicates how responsible a job candidate/barrower is, how trustworthy a job candidate/barrower is, how diligent a job candidate/barrower is, how reliable a job candidate/ barrower is, how risky a job candidate/borrower is as an employee regarding business budgets, the business' finances, business accounting, business resources, etc.) they were always told a more qualified candidate received the position. Bankruptcy always leads to a life of long-term poverty, a shorter lifespan, an intolerable quality of life, divorce, sometimes a life of crime for some, and many times Suicide. The advice I always give to my clients is go with a standard 30 year mortgage with a fixed, low interest rate that has a total payment (PITI: Principle, Interest, Taxes and Insurance) that is no more than 27% of their gross income. To shorten the length of time of the life of the mortgage, when finances are unexpectedly good, make a 13th month payment and write on the payment check that this extra payment is to be applied only to the Principle. By doing this, my clients whittled down not only the Principle, but also the total amount of interest they paid over the life of the mortgage and also lessened the number of years of the life of the mortgage, meaning they paid their mortgages off sooner than the 30 years. I always made sure that the mortgage I obtained for them had a clause in the contract that allowed them to pay off the mortgage early, without restrictions or fees & penalties. This way, my clients were always in control of their mortgages, not the other way around. Also, if your mortgage company offers a 125% Loan To Value of the equity you have in your home, Do Not Accept it !!! This is another way to go bankrupt !! Also, never get a balloon mortgage, nor a mortgage that requires you to refinance after so many years as you never know what the interest rates will be in the future. If you do, the interest rates may be higher, so high that you can no longer afford your house. This, too leads to foreclosure with bankruptcy not far behind, etc ! Also, no matter how tempting an adjustable rate mortgage is with its ridiculously low interest rate at the beginning of the mortgage, which means a ridiculously low mortgage payment during the limited time of the ridiculously low interest rate, the interest rate will go extremely high for the remaining 25 years of the life of the mortgage to cover the amount of interest $ the mortgage company lost during the low interest rate period. Also, if the Mortgage Broker offers you the option of rolling all of your credit card debt and even your car loan into your new mortgage, Do Not Accept It !!! Yes, your monthly payments will go down because you are spreading your debt out over 30 years. Your car loan may have a 4-6 year term and then you own your car and thus are done paying interest on it. If you roll that car loan into your mortgage, you are paying on that car, Principle and Interest for Thirty Years !! How long will your car last ? Thirty years? I doubt it, but you will still be paying on it for Thirty Years long after you have gone on to a new car loan and forgotten about that car you are still paying on !! Same with credit card debt if you roll it into your mortgage !! If you used your credit card to buy a new suit, a new dress, pay college tuition, books and fees, or used your credit card to pay for a vacation or maybe used a credit card to pay for a dinner out on the town, you are paying for the above for Thirty Years with interest !! During those Thirty Years, will you remember that dinner, that suit of clothes, etc. ?? I doubt it, so why pay for it for Thirty Years with continual interest ? Over the course of my years in the mortgage consulting/brokering business, I have seen adjustable mortgage interest rates start out at 3% for the 1st 5 years and at the end of the 1st 5 years, the 3% interest rate jumped to 15% interest for the rest of the 25 years of the life of the mortgage. This too leads to foreclosure and eventual bankruptcy... These are things no one ever tells you about. These are actually lenders' secret ways to make more money than you ever dreamed possible. It's ways the lender takes advantage of every client that walks into their doors. I don't desire anyone to fall into the hands of unscrupulous lenders as it truly is a matter of life and death. BTW, the word "Mortgage" is derived from a French word that means "Death." Mortuary might come to your mind now, as it is derived from the same French word meaning "Death." May Jesus Christ bless you with all wisdom, which is better than silver and gold. 🎚️🙏🎚️

There is an equivalent without tying yourself to a higher payment obligation. If you just pay double principal (not a full double payment), all the numbers are exactly the same as a 15 year but without the contractual obligation. To clarify, if your payment is say 2000, maybe 1100 of it might be principal to pay off the house, and the rest is interest, takes, etc. Well if you make a 3100 dollar payment, double that 110p principal, then it's exactly the same as a 15year. Also you could take the after sale cost of the house, divide by 30 years, divide by 12 months and add that to your bill against principal

Love everything you have said! Every word of God is beautiful and true and should be followed. Tithing to who? Which church do you tithe to when you wish not to associate with the doctrines of man? I believe every church does the work of God, each has its own task, we are all members of the same body. Tithing comes in many forms. Food and cloths for the poor and needy, a helping hand for the widow, a caring moment with the fatherless, bold edification of someone towards God. We forget that. When the poor woman gave all the had, that was all she had. Those who say they have nothing to give are liars, in spirit and in truth. Tithes in love are also counted, given it be pure and undefiled towards God, chairty to another. Giving thanks and praise to God always that he may bless your work and increase your profit. No, no profit in money. Seek you first the kingdom of God and all shall be added. Be like Job.

Thanks brother for the video. I do believe in paying ten percent to the LORD first. But it is not out of law. Malachi chapter 3. Is dealing with the nation of Isreal under the law. Though we see Abraham and Jacob paying tithes. But it was by their own free will. Also by them have to since Gods presence in all their lives. So I give God 10 percent because of my thankfulness and love to the LORD. God bless.

Last night I believe the HS reminded me that tithe is 10 % .. but offerings are above that .. and it's idolatry to spend more on unnecessary things than what we give as offering... in other words, what we spend more on.. more than we give as offering.. is or are our idols... eg. Last month I bought an expensive dog... which cost way more than I gave to the church as offering. . .. 😢 also 10% of a day, or 2.4 hours belongs to God...and I haven't been spending time in reading His word or worshipping Him more than that...(I'm on social media more than 2.4 hours a day so that's been my idol, etc) God has so generously blessed me but I haven't been giving much more than a tithe... Malachi 8:9 doesn't just say tithe... but offerings too... and goes on saying there is a curse for those who don't obey... Thank you for sharing these Bible verses ❤ May others also realize that we can also rob God by not giving offerings and that we should spend more for offerings than for any other expense other than necessities

Please read Malachi 3:10-12 Tithe is used exclusively for the work of the Lord, that is : used for missionary work,to pay pastors,to do evangelism and to print tracts. It is 10 per cent of our income. It belongs to the Lord. We prefer giving our tithe to ministries who are really doing the work of the Lord and taking care of the people of God. Offerings is any amount and is voluntary. This is used for helping the poor and the sick, for repairs in the church etc...

there is no tithing requirement in the NT, we are to give as we purpose in our heart, we are to be a cheerful giver, 2 cor 9:6-7. If one wants to give 10% or more that is fine, if one wants to give 1-10% that is also fine.

I am concerned with the current mindset of Christianity. If you go to different “Christian” churches and see different pastors/ministers/priests etc speaking Supposedly from the same Bible but giving different meanings to the scriptures. Humanity tends to twist things to their own needs and others who are looking for Gods word can be led down dangerous paths by these twisted words. My mother joined a cult who many believe to be a truly Christian religion but the things that go on in this “Man’s” religion are not in line with the teachings of Christ. I find it frustrating that so many churches have gaps in their word (on purpose) so I will not go to a Christian church designed by man. I’m still learning and am working to find answers and just learning to do what brings answers and the feeling of peace. I’m still confused as to why Man thinks the Bible needs to be rewritten and have multiple versions and why someone thinks they have the right to add or remove books of the Bible. Frustrated, sometimes confused but moving forward while being wary of man’s version of Gods word.

*TITHING* This is important - God was speaking to the SHEPHERDS, not the flock in that passage... that's important to understand

The Bible says this - Owe no one anything except to love one another. (Romans 13:8) Romans 13:8 is a simple, plain, straightforward command. But, because men are covetous (Proverbs 27:20) they argue against this verse to find room for their greedy hearts (2 Peter 2:14). Churches, Bible Colleges, and "Christian" Ministries often have incredible amounts of money that they owe to the banking institutions of the world. Their debts exist because they are not content with what they have (Hebrews 13:5). They want more money (Ephesians 5:5). So they covet and acquire debt. The way of righteousness is not so. The Lord says to owe no one anything, and He means it. Owe no one anything (Romans 13:8). Sell what you can and make haste to keep the commandments of God (Psalm 119:59-60).

The majority of the time that it talks about the tithe in scripture... it's talking about food.

@@theeternalempire7235 Well, if you think about it. Food (or the access/resources to it) IS what we need ("wealth?"). Throughout most of this globe's history, "fertile ground" and livestock watering/grazing"/LAND is synonymous with "wealth". Your cash/digital money/currency are USELESS if it can't procure you any/much FOOD, eh? (yes, in Canada here). If your grocery stores have empty shelves (or it "flies off them")... how much do you think the few "cans of soup" will be costing you/us? So... in light of all this, have you begun to reconsider your response to Mr. McGoover's comment? ;) Peace to you. Shalom
