This is great & gave me so much information! I’m currently a biology major & I’ve been experiencing a bit of doubt because I’m not sure what I would do after I graduate but Being a CRC/CRA seems like something I would be passionate about.

Clinical Research Fastrack hello I was a former biology major but now changing my major to public health I was wondering what effect that would have on me being a crc/cra

I'm a third year Kinesiology and Health science major very interested in this field. Would you recommend a CRA program offered through a university or a college (I think this video is filmed and based off US education but in Canada college and university degrees are viewed very differently, but I'm not sure if that would also apply to diploma/certificate programs like CRA )

Most of the jobs in this field need "experience" first, how do you get this without being able to get the job? I have a bachelor's degree in social science too. My internship was at a "medical spa" ;)

I’ve been in clinical research for over 20 years and I have never heard of this organization

Hello! I am so happy you are learning about us now. We are 5 years young as an organization but our instructors have decades of experience and we have helped hundreds enter the clinical research industry in the past few years. This is a wonderful industry, but unfortunately difficult for outsiders to get in. We have created an intensive training and career assistance program that is now recognized by industry leaders across the nation. Our instructors include national board members from SOCRA, Directors from some of the largest Global Pharmaceutical Companies, and experienced leaders from CROs including IQVIA, Covance, PPD, PRA/ICON, Syneos Health and more. Welcome! We invite you to learn more.

Trying to get into this role but most job require “2 years” prior experience or be a nurse
@clinicalresearchfastrack4 жыл бұрын
The reason Fastrack Graduates are getting hired in the field is because this training provides them with the qualifications and connections needed to get into the field. Most job postings do say they want years of experience, but what they really want is someone trained, competent and qualified. We open doors for our graduates. No nursing degree is necessary. Only about 30% of coordinators are nurses.

Assist a doctor, even as a secretary, who does research. In other words, start as a Research Assistant who is around the staff and the studies. If there are no “research assistant” jobs obviously near you, literally call hospitals near you or go in person (even better) to ones that conduct research studies and ask to help. Many accept volunteers! Keep asking until one says yes, but the likelihood is high that they’ll accept enthusiastic assistance, especially if you volunteer. Some places will pay an inexperienced volunteer, and some won’t until a few months pass. Call or visit 5 places and see who gives you a chance! I have a BA in communications and was hired by a doctor to be his assistant. He happened to do a lot of research and suddenly I was a research assistant for one year. I am starting my first CRC role next week! So with that said, you only need one year of experience and good references from that one year!
