Yum !! Well done. It’s the start of winter in New Zealand 🇳🇿 and the spinach and feta combo reminds me of my Croatian 🇭🇷 comfort food from childhood - bunch of silverbeet , washed, white core cut out, chopped , cut a couple of small potatoes boil all together start with potatoes then add silverbeet , drain and add salt, pepper , chopped garlic and olive oil and mash together - it’s so yum. My daughter is now 33yo and still asks for it or makes it whens she’s not well.

She is why I'm here! I've been told by the kids that I'm not cooking this week since I broke my foot Friday. Unfortunately in the middle of my batch of yogurt making. Not sure what got screwy, but it didn't set up right. It sounds like maybe there hadn't been enough from the last batch as starter. So I think my daughter is going to make meat and greens (pepperoni or summer sausage or flavorful meat of some sort in a pan with some onions and garlic, then toss in some root veg, and then a bunch of greens that you like. Kind of a thrown together with whatever you have that needs used up dish). My son will be cooking brats and probably burgers. I might walk them through beef and broccoli or teriyaki chicken in the instant pot. It feels weird to not be in the kitchen.

I love your channel and enjoy watching it so much. You have mentioned several times that you and your family are Orthodox Christians. Is that the same as the Eastern Orthodox Church? I was just curious if you would be willing to share a bit about it, only if you feel comfortable doing it. I love to see the healthy meals and recipes that you create. They look so delicious!!!!

I used your sourdough starter directions. I made 4 batches of sandwich bread now. I have avoided eating much bread for almost 20 years. It made me gain weight. With the sourdough this doesn’t happen and I don’t feel bloated anymore. Thank you for teaching healthy eating. Any recommendations for acid reflux? Besides avoiding the trigger foods. Edit to add I’ve been eating 2-4 slices a day of the sourdough.
@healthyelizabeth8 ай бұрын
I love that. Sourdough is truly a different product. For acid reflux, raw apple cider vinegar in your diet is a must!!
