You stated that the cutting board should not have mineral oil in it then when mentioning the wood utensils you said the use something with mineral oil in it to maintain them. It's conflicting information.

Perhaps the one she recomended doesn't have phthalates, is waht I'm guessing, but I don't know.

I bought the natural rubber one but I realized that my knife cuts through it, leaving little cuts all over it. Is it safe to consume like that? I am just worried and don't want to get rubber in my system

Does the titanium cutting board dull the knives badly?

Don’t have a recommendation for silicone cutting board?
@Healthyhouseontheblock10 ай бұрын
No, I don't, unfortunately. Silicone is something I try to use sparingly in the kitchen. I would recommend rubber as a healthier alternative. But I'm sure there are silicone cutting boards out there. Look for platinum silicone or food grade silicone if you do. 😊👍🏽

Could you recommend some wood spatulas? There are so many on the market I don’t know which is safe or not.

Could one use coconut oil instead of mineral oil?
@JoseGonzalez-wt2kw26 күн бұрын
no use, Mineral oil and bees wax, oil will get rancid
@JoseGonzalez-wt2kw26 күн бұрын
Just use a food safe wood cutting board, there are plenty to choose from. Now if you want a really good cutting board then don't cheap out and get something like a Boos block. I have plastic cutting boards and again if you buy cheap, you get cheap and may get plastic shavings. Learn how to take care of your boards. Use mineral oil and bees wax to seal your boards (wood), this is so bad, Do not use stone, metal, glass cutting boards, you will probably end up ingesting those materials and probably knife shavings too. Not every health nut has done their job and researched their topic.

Yes. Agree. Tung oil is probably the best thing to apply to solid wood cutting board.

I really wouldn't trust sellers on Etsy to know and tell the truth about the materials in their products. Some of it is probably made in China in reality. It could contain anything. I would like anything I eat from to come from a regulated source.
