I've been listening to Healy for Idk now probably what seems like Almost a decade. The amounts of quiet drives in the summer midwest nights listening to Sublexe have literally burned themselves in my mind. This music got me through moments in time that I really struggled. With moving to a new State (Florida, and the song Ocean) and also when I struggled really hard with depression and Opiates. Idk how to explain it but this music has a huge impact on me. What is your song making process like and how much does start to finish for a song vary?

it definitely varies for every song. i tend to be pretty extemporaneous and work in bursts when inspiration hits which I think lends a certain rawness to everything. some songs take like 20 min others take over 2 years, but ultimately I always try to give songs the space to let nature/life leave inflections on them + to make sure im grounded in my feelings within them
