Virtue Grace you are a very observant person indeed. Everything you oberved about Ethiopians is 100% correct in my own view and experience. If I was marking a paper on your feedback about Ethiopia, I would give you 99.9% because your analysis of the presentation of the Ethiopians is spot on. Ethiopia has a relatively stable electricity that's why you see they can afford to have the light rail in Addis Ababa city that runs on electricity and also the newly built SGR Train that runs between Addis Ababa and Djibouti is also powered by electricity. In fact, electricity supply will get even better once they complete the contraversial Rennaisance Dam which will allow Ethiopia to even sell electricity to her neighbours. As for restaurants, it is true that in Addis Ababa or indeed in other smaller towns, there are usually so many eateries or restaurants. I once counted them and found that within an area of about 1 Kilometre radius, you will find at least 30-40 small restaurants especially in Addis. As for the good manners of queueing patiently at the bus stops, they are indeed very orderly but I think this behaviour has been made possible by two factors, Firstly, their culture and tradition is so strong that it acts as a glue or a bond between them which in turn eliminates unnecessary selfishness amongst them. This very unique nature of their culture and traditions has for time imemorial inculcated the respectful mannerism they display towards each other and by extension it also contributes to the way they treat foreigners as well. Secondly, Ethiopia was ruled by a ruthless military dictator called Mengistu Haile Mariam for 17 years from 1975-1991 as a communist country. During this period, discipline or obedience to the laws of the land was a must or else ........This 17 years of Communist terror must have inculcated some sense of order -out of fear probably in the public psychic which has lasted to this day [This is purely my own personal observation and I stand to be corrected]. In so far as the long waiting for food in a restaurant, Ethiopians are all very much at home with this. They are very resilient people but make no mistake, on very rare occasions, some of them can be very short fused mainly between themselves when need arises !!! As for the harmonious relationship between Christians and Muslims in Ethiopia, this is simply owed to the 700 years strong good old Ethiopian culture and traditions which binds them together beyond religion. Ethiopians have more in common than what divides them.

You forced me to subscribe not because your comments and opinions are sincere, but you have been so careful in all of your words. I like to watch African travelers sharing their experience after visiting other African country especially when they focus not only on comparison and bad experiences but on what good things the country has to offer. Am forced to say Africa is blessed to have young and adventurous children like yourself. So you see, you left the country with a good impression making sure that your second visit is going to be like coming back to a second home. In my opinion you gave an excellent lesson to all youtubers,. I have to mention your Kenyan friend Demeris, who has also won my respect. Keep up the good work my fellow African sister!

Grace I liked the way you reflected your views in an orderly manner. Let me share you my life experience. I am, brought up in a Catholic environment and married to a Muslim, brought up in a Muslim environment. We are not from the same ethnic group, if that had to be mentioned. We are both born and brought up in Addis Ababa. He is honest, intelligent and loves his country. We met at the university about 39 year ago. We lived for 18 years together. We respect each other. Unfortunately, he suddenly passed away March 2018. Our style of life is based on respect. I am blessed to have him in my life. Though, I missed him to date on the other hand I feel and believe I have no right to question God’s work in our life and believe that he is with his creator and I will join him when I am called. Many Muslim, to my understanding are truly honest people.

You are a real ambassador to your country- Nigeria. Respectful, cultured and well spoken. Keep it up. I am from a neighboring country Eritrea and I agree with most of your review. Ethiopians are very nationalistic and that could be bad and good at the same time. It is bad in sense that people tend to focus a lot in matters of national concern to the point of obsessively talking about it all the time and leading them to lose interests in other people, cultures and interests. I agree with your assessment of Ethiopians having restaurants almost everywhere which makes it easy for people to enjoy food. It is amazing to see Ethiopian restaurants and grocery stores as well abroad such as in the United States, Europe and some African countries. In terms of electricity probably Ethiopia is one the best with good access, availability and fair price. Electricity is one of the cheapest (4-6 USD per kwh) in Africa and that is commendable. I can't agree more with your opinion of orderliness, discipline and organization in the country. There is a room for improvement but it is however good. Just my few cents.

Idris M. Sanusi 🇳🇬 he is one of our Nigerian brother he fighting on twitter for us great love and respect for him . 1. #Egypt is not the source of the Nile River's water. It's just an end user. If Egypt wants historical rights as it claims, they are not on the Nile but on the Mediterranean. All #African countries must stand by Ethiopia. If we Africans unite, no one will defeat us. #GERD

All Afrikans worldwide must stand with Ethiopian GERD! Egypt and the western power behind them will not succeed in trying to hold Ethiopia back. Eygpt already have their own dam, they're just greedy and jealous.
