Hi. I would like to ask you about the fancy dinner we are cruising for 5 days so we got one fancy dinner?? Is it free of charge and is there a specific day and restaurant for that. And how about the main dinning room is it suppose to wear formal to get in . thanks

5 day cruises have 1 formal dinner aka “fancy dinner” and 1 semi formal dinner. 7 day cruises have 2 formal dinners. Yes it’s free of charge. The menu does have plates you need to pay extra for but the menu has the prices next to the item and it’s at the bottom end of the menu. Yes there is a specific restaurant for formal dinner night. You can make dinner time reservations when you book your cruise. Let me know if this helps or if you have any more questions.

My tip is--- Don't have them to check your luggage on the last day. Carry your own bags off the ship. It gets your off the boat and out of the terminal much quicker.

@@Phonoodles408 not check as in inspect. They have you to pack your bag and sit it outside your room door. They come and get them all and take them off the ship. then you have to go to the carousel or the baggage claim like at the airport to get your bags.

She is talking about checking in bags on the last day of the cruise. You can either carry your bags off the ship or you can check them in. It’s faster to carry them off but easier to check them in and not have to worry about your bags until you go through Customs 🛃

I have binge watched cruising videos for 2 mths and yours is the BEST !!! you should make a lot more! So many people are making tons of money (from KZbin) to pay for cruises off these vlogs and you all certainly should. Most are repetitive room tours (sooo boring) and not at all informative like yours!

Just came from carnival elation as a 1st time cruiser. I had a fantastic time and some things I learned the hard way. Tips I learned: Tip# 1 Do not pay extra if you do not eat the 5:30 to 9:30pm dinning in. I wouldn't have paid extra for it even more for a off season like September because the cruise was not crowded. Tip#2 If you need change go to the casino. If you are a smoker, you can smoke in the casino (which to me it was horrible because Im not a smoker but my husband is and I felt that second hand smoking draining my lungs in seconds lol. Tip #3: Be patient with waiters, they are from different international countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines or Thailand and their time is not rush time like we Americans do. People got inpatient and sometimes loud because they were taking their time or because they would just bring whatever drink they just felt like giving you sometimes. I would ask for guava margarita and they would bring me a bahama mama. If the price was the same then I take it and see it as trying something different. Tip#4 If you sit in the first row in the punchliner comedy...you will get burned, so dont get offended.

Another additional tip is that you're allowed to bring one 150 ML of unopened bottled wine per adult on the ship. You're also allowed to bring a 12 pack of unopened can of sodas on as well. Also recommend that you pre-purchase a case of water that will cost estimate $3.00 to your room and it will be in your room by the time you arrive there.

Since Carnival now uses those edible straws that almost “melt” if you don’t drink your beverage fast enough, I’d recommend bringing your own metal reusable straw. Also, I saw a family with walkie talkies to connect with their folks when they’re not at the same place in the ship, this would be useful if you don’t buy the text or wifi package

You can order as much as you want in the main dinning room, that is why the portions are really small. Just go ham on your choices and dont be afraid to ask for another portion or meal

We always order a cheese plate with our wine on the very first night! Let your server know that you would like the cheese plate every nite before your meal and they will have it to you seconds after you sit down- the servers have been GREAT on these cruises!!!!

Idea: bring the instant drink mixes a colorful clear cup and create a fun, and tasty water bar. Grab some fruit from the buffet or ask the bar tender to add fresh fruit to your drink. It's fresh/ refreshing and free! Just add water. No one drinks plain water all the time on vacation. Enjoy

My tip: Every person in the room is allowed to bring a case of soda and a regular size bottle of wine so take both!! Saves a lot of money. Also, take an extension cord surge protector, There's only like two outlets in the rooms. Going on my 3rd cruise in 10 days and I cannot wait!

Don't forget to keep the lights on when you shower! First cruise I ever took was on Carnival and something screwed up while they were "draining the ship" and raw sewage went in reverse and came through the shower, I smelled it and turned off the shower and tried to temporary clean up from the sink and it started coming through the sink also. Was stuck in the room smelling like crap for about 2 hours before it was all ran through the lines. ;( Needless to say I moved up to NCL and enjoy being a platinum member with them.

We just went on our very first cruise last week and it was amazing! (Carnival Sunshine) We did not know each person could carry on a 12 pack of can sodas and snacks. That could have saved us a lot of money. Also do not get drunk lol before the safety meeting 😂 my husband did not remember any of the safety information.

Additional tip for the Cheers program is that is also includes soda, premium coffee, bottled water, and energy drinks. Also if you're planning on getting off the boat please make sure you are aware of last call boarding time.

We take our carry on with on the ship because we need my husband c pap and meds. I've also known people who never got there luggage until the last day! So we wheel around our carry on. Also if you are bringing wine or soda you have to have it with you. We don't by the drinks pkg because we don't drink much. Only 1 drink a day. Thanks about the copy of passport,need to do that!

I never purchase the drink package. You can bring a bottle of wine per person 21 and over. Fun shop sells bottles of adult beverages that can be ordered and in your cabin upon arrival. Bring a cup with lid and fill up with juice from the Lido and/or bring 12pk of soda for your mixture to make your own drinks. More economical than the drink package.

Omg, these were great tips... I didn't know about the cleaning charge. Y'all are too cute! Question. About how long does it take to get off the boat on port day? We're going to Cozumel (Paradise resort) and trying to plan out that morning. Is there a quicker way out/off? I heard the Gangway is faster, but where is that located? I don't even know what that is ;) lol.

+Amy Adams Thank you. My wife and I ate breakfast before getting off the ship so there was no line and we didn’t have to pay for food at the port. If you want to get off the ship ASAP you should make your way to the “gangway” lol so you can be one of the first ones off 20 minutes before they open the gangway. The gangway is just the staircase to get off and on a ship.

They don’t sell bottles on board but you can bring on a 750ml bottle of wine 🍷 or Champagne 🍾 . It’s up to you if you want to pay per drink or try the cheers package but if you are going to have more than 5 drinks a day it makes up for it. Depending on where you go and what excursion you go on will depend if they sell alcohol. Most places do have bars though.

OMG! Another great tip that no other vids discuss and I've been asking. Do I need to purchase the WiFi Carnival plan just to use the Carnival Hub app. Great tip! Thank you! I just came back from the cruise. I wanted to share the Carnival HUB text plan. It's $5 per phone per cruise. We had 8 phones, so we each paid $5 on the HUB and it lasted all 7 days. It worked so well! And yes, we were all able to use the HUB without the internet plan. Just turn on WiFi mode and turn on Airplane mode.

You can’t just get it for one adult over 21, it’s either all the adults over 21 per stateroom get the cheers package or no one does. If you don’t drink that much it might b better to not get the cheers 🥂.

Usually they designate a specific night - check the Fun Times to be sure or ask the Cust Svc desk. We did a 7 day cruise and had 2 Formal nights - one on the 2nd night of the cruise and another on the 4th night

Y también depende si quieres vista al mar. Y te tienes que fijar en cuanto te sale el vuelo a Miami. Donde vive usted? Hay cruceros que van a todos los puertos principales de Mexico.

If your room is ready when you get on the ship just put it in your room. It's guy's burger joint not guy. $80 more, you know what I can do with $80 especially when I'm not in the room that much. The time of year you go depends on how crowded it is. You don't have to go to formal night if you want. If you want to you can order off the kids menu.

If you have 2 adults they make you buy the Cheers package for both of you, regardless if you significant other doesn't drink at all. This is their way of 1 person getting free drinks for others. Not of fan of that, but it is what it is.

Thst was just incredible bad luck lol. I've been cruising with carnival since I was 8, and I'm sixteen now. I go on a cruise every year and nothing like that has ever happened. My dad even longer (he's platinum) and still nothing lol

Yes we were. It’s either every adult over 21 per stateroom purchases the cheers package or no one does. It’s not possible for only one adult over 21 to get the cheers package and the other adult doesn’t. Hope this helps

Here's my tip, tip as you go as well. We bring $100.00 dollars in 1 dollar bills. A couple of dollar to the bartender who has waited on you for an hour goes along way. A few dollars to your dinner wait staff goes along way. They remember you and we've found the service is always excellent.

SV methos Most people use a lanyard to attach their key card to it, if you hid in with your towel and other things nobody is known to really steal it :) it’s very unlikely to happen.

Tip#1 ...Carnival ...Faster to The Fun Package! If you can get it, sells out fast! Literally walked right up to customer service twice while others waited in separate longer line. Got on and off ship faster in almost all ports. Faster debarcation as well as a bunch of other stuff. Not really a tip but when you buy a drink package and there are 2 people in the cabin you "have to" purchase drink package for them as well. So for my Wife and I $800 bucks for a 7 day. Tip 1.5... IF you get the drink package(s) find good bartenders at bars close to your cabin. TIP THEM WELL at the beginning and throughout, they will remember you and be there the whole cruise. Bad service and or slow service, walk away and don't go back. Example: Don't go to the Red Frog Rum bar outside during movie nights? One or two of them are making frikkin popcorn ONLY and handing it out leaving one poor bartender to try to keep up with all the stupid fruity drinks and kids. Avoid it. Tip #2 ...DO NOT get a room with a balcony! If you do you will be ruined from then on out! So, if you get a room next time without a balcony you will hate it ;) Tip #2.5...Get a room midship and back, closest to Lido deck if you like the buffets mostly. Most of the fun stuff is right there anyway. Tip#3 ...Take an old card with you. Like a old gift card that is used up. You can keep it in the room at all times. If you use your sign and sail card, as soon as you take it out it kills the power (AND AC) to room in a few minutes. Plus you have to fiddle with putting it in and out of lanyard. Before we did this my Wife took her S & S card out to go get something and in a few minutes I was in the dark in the shower! Tip#4...Bring strong magnets/clips and some medium sized string! They can attach to almost any wall in cabin and you can hang things small things up. Staff won't mess with them either. Tip#5...If you are late night eaters like us and eat in your room mostly, make an extra trip to go get any little things and take back to room BEFORE you get your food! Ex: We like ranch and other dipping sauces, silverware/extra napkins, a drink that you will leave in the room in fridge, a desert or 4 (!). It's just easier this way especially when drinkin . Tip#6...IF you want pictures from the photographers that are EVERYWHERE then fine. But just know they are ridiculously overpriced! Talkin $300-$400 bucks for just a few pics! They are of good quality though (I'm a photographer). If no, then don't waste your time taking pics with with the cute cutouts or dressed up people at ports. You're just getting in the way and slowing down people getting off/on the boat! Just say "No thank you" smile and quickly walk around these people and areas. No thank you + smile will help you in ports/beaches/cities as well. Tip#7...DON'T be a *sshole to staff or other people! If you are one stay in your room!!! Seriously. We are all here for fun. Tip#7.5 IF you are sick, definitely STAY in your room! If you do go out try not to spread your germs everywhere! No one want to get sick on a cruise. I have more but tired of typing ;)

Bring a power yep. Most rooms only have 1 outlet. If leaving from long Beach and leaving your car.. Park outside in hotel parking. Took my family 2 hours to exit out of the parking structure. Only get a balcony for cruises over 4 days when you have more then 1 day at sea. Call your cell phone carrier before you go to see if they have a travel pass so you are not roaming. I did not know about the free lanyards. And i love the tip from someone who said pack some food in your room for the late night munchies even tho they always have something to snack on on the ship.
