just, so people understand, if you don’t understand “BSL” (british sign language “ you, can always put on captions. click the 3 dots that are vertical, (left corner) (top) then , click captions, and it should pop up with “English” , just click or press, on that to get captions.

Megan Whitaker the food is because as hearing people we are generally more likely to sugar coat things and just accept things as they are even if we don’t really like them. I’m Deaf culture, they tell you how it is no matter what. They’ll tell you if you’re fat or looking ugly that day. They’re more honest. :)

Yeah I’ve been known to eat food even if I don’t like how it was cooked. Figure I’m hungry, I won’t want to wait for it to be cooked again, and I seen enough restaurant surveillance to worry if I offended the cook. It would have to be really bad for me to stand up for myself. I thought it was just me though.

Kathiron Reed telling someone they’re fat isn’t being blunt it’s just mean. We already know we don’t need others to say it.... I’ve never had a deaf person inform me of things I’m ashamed of, please tell me that’s just an example.

Jazzy, is a long time I wanted to tell you there is a country where signing is part of our daily communication. Of course is not deaf signing, is a national way of signing. I'm talking about Italians. If you ever come back here I will teach you how we, hearing people, ask how much to pay after a coffe, or say "I don't understand" just signing and many others. That's a big issue for us as when we travel we need to contain ourselves. You mentioned signing through windows, we did a lot of it, even being limited to few words. I have a feeling learning to sign would finally express our deep nature to gesture at everyone for everything. In the UK I was quite shocked people didn't answer me with a hand raided to say something but was just pure speaking. You definitely need this side of Italy 😂

I encourage everyone who have channel to write subtitles. Thanks again Jazzy :) :*

The party bit really got to me. Haha even as someone who can hear... it's hard to communicate. I grew up having a... Second language to my parents.... as my first language. I have a hard time processing English... So in other words... My parents are imigrants that tried to teach me my born language. Now the older I get, the longer it takes me to process what a person is saying, even in both languages. So watching sign has really opened my mind to communication. I try to aim learning every language I can. Also sensory is a bitch for me. Without truely realizing it myself.. I grew up with multiple people in my life being deaf. We learned to communicate in our own ways as much as we could. I definitely appreciate it more now than ever being an adult. And making even more friends within this community. Communication is beautiful. In every form :)
