Hearing God and Receiving Breakthrough!

Recently I was offered an opportunity to head up my own sales team within an Industry I wanted to build a life around. The position was not in my wheelhouse or my skill sets. I asked God “how do you see this?” He said, just keep moving toward your desires and I will give you the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Since that starting point my team has opened doors into industries and seen deals done that were truly groundbreaking, one, since 1958, this Industry had never seen real change. God called my husband & I to move across country to come care for my elderly father with Parkinson’s Disease. We’ve been here over 3 years and continue to be a living witness of God’s great love to my father. Yet he continues to be stubborn in not receiving Jesus into his heart. God is so great that He will not let my Dad pass without revelation of our Lord Jesus. This is the breakthrough I am believing for my earthly father. Amen

4 important takeaways (from 5 steps and where most people fail) 1. Know what God has in mind for your breakthrough (this is where hearing God comes in) 2. Believe Him. It’ll be hard so immerse yourself in remembrance of His past acts of breakthrough - via your personal history, community testimonies and of course, Scripture 3. Be sure of your identity as a beloved child of God, remember Jesus died so that we can be reconciled as grace, not earned via works. And fathers give his children good gifts. And our Father is a good Father. 4. Don’t be a victim. Partner your faith in practical ways. For example, see a doctor even if you’re pursuing a supernatural breakthrough - God can use natural means to supernaturally help you.

Kai To What I take from this is: Breakthrough involves two parties. God, The Lord or The Breaker at the head of the army (Micah 2:13) is partnering with MY faith that is expressed through action (“Faith without works is dead.” James 2:26)

Don't hunger for an experience - the New Age movement craves experiences. Hunger for God's Word. Hunger for Him alone. This sounds questionable if you're hungering for experiences.

hlb0111 I encourage you to listen to Eric Gilmour’s teachings if you haven’t :) What you said is half-true. In order to hunger for God, we need a God-experience. Read AW Tozer too. That will complete your perspective :)

We experience God's Word. Purify the heart and soul for God experiences. Life is experiential, so why wouldn't you want to experience a relationship with the living God in Jesus name.

You should really be careful before giving recommendations. The blind lead the blind and they both fall into a pit. You may need to forgive the new age movement, as you have been forgiven. When we judge someone for an error, we can subconsciously start to withdraw even from their good qualities, just because we don't want to be like them at all. Didn't Peter want the experience of walking on water? Didn't Thomas stick his hands in the holes of Jesus (Jahoshua HaMashiach)? There is such a thing as fleshly desire experience and Godly desire experience. Wisdom be upon you in Jesus name, amen.

I’m gonna disagree with you there, we need to crave/seek/need a intimate personal experiential relationship with HIM. We have HIS Word, anyone does - but to intimately know HIM is what set apart every great child of GOD. We need intimacy. I do agree with a problem in seeking power so much that you go to the dark instead of the light
