Sometimes it’s difficult to determine if the voice we hear is God’s, our own, or others around us. Here’s a simple tip to help.

Yes! The more I focus on what I KNOW is God's voice, the more I can distinguish God's voice from mine and others in those times of uncertainty. Kind'a like with you. Some days like today, what you say lines up with what I've experienced so it's easy to think, "Man, I like to start my day with this guy's message!" Having that connection with someone so distant - so actually unknown - makes it easier to listen and trust you on those days when I have questions about your message. Sometimes, though, I have to stop and differentiate between what you (or God) really said versus what I initially heard. After all this time (it'll be 42 years on 4/12), there are still moments when I struggle to buy into what is on the page. When that passage is surrounded by verses underlined and highlighted over the years, however, it becomes easier to sit still and let the ink on paper become the breathing word of God. Thank you for your encouragement and attitude!

IF YOU WANT TO HEAR GOD SPEAK TO YOU, Read Your Bible!!! It’s not a voice inside. This guy is a huckster!
