Head Ranger at Timbavati, Anton Mzimba, was shot and killed outside of his home last night. This follows recent death threats and highlights the daily threat facing Rangers. Our deepest condolences to Anton’s loved ones and co-workers at this difficult time. May his legacy live on.

It is easy to get so involved and focus on the animals that one forgets those that give their lives every day, standing between a poacher and a Rhino (any endangered animal) is always a Ranger. Thank you so much for what you do and those supporting them.

You can become one ! i am leaving in 2018. My humble contribution for a better tommorow, we need people to stand up for our planet, these are historical times we are living in. If we do not act, if we do not support them, our children wil only know these animals from pictures. If you care, become a hero in your own right, you do not have to take up arms if you dot want to, but spread the word , give a small amount of money. These Rangers are risking there lives every day for our heritage... white , brown, yellow or black just people who care... lets unite and fight for this planet.

We must all do everything we can to prevent his sacrifice and this tragic loss to conservation from being in vain. If he had died in the veld in the line of duty it would have been bad enough. To be gunned down at his home, however, is such a disgusting insult and affront to him, his family, and the conservation community at large. I fervently hope the vermin that committed this barbaric act are caught soon.
