So awesome, Shawn; you are the first reactor who was unfortunately introduced to the chopped-version and went back to hear the FULL version. Bravo!!

Jason Bonham, Bonzo's son, is playing drums, and the chorus at the end are all wearing bowler hats, as is Jason, in honor of Bonzo, who favored them. Seeing the tears in Plant's eyes was really special.

The other performances honoring Led Zeppelin were Foo Fighters, playing "Black Dog" and "Rock 'N Roll". Kid Rock performed a medley of “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You” and “Ramble On". And Lenny Kravitz sang “Whole Lotta Love”. Heart gave the wrap-up song. Jack Black introduced the segment. Other honorees that night were ballerina Natalia Makarova, actor Dustin Hoffman, comedian and late-night host David Letterman, and bluesman Buddy Guy. At one point during the Heart performance, you see Bonnie Raitt rockin' in the audience. She performed earlier in the Buddy Guy segment.

Shout out to lead guitarist Shane Fontayne, who's been at it since the 1970s, most notably having played on Bruce Springsteen's "Other Band" tour (a few years after he disbanded the E-Street band). I also really enjoy watching Nancy whenever she plays and the way she puts her all into it.

Thanks for mentioning Shane. I just finished looking him up myself, never knowing his name after seeing this a bunch of times. Given the pivotal part of the song I knew he must have had quite a strong background .

I'm so glad you got to watch the full version. Not only for the edited parts, but the audio is better as well. And don't be surprised that it hit you the second time. It's hit me over 100 times and counting. It's emotional because you can see and feel what they put into it. Even look at Nancy at 7:26 on your video. Everyone focuses on Anne of course, but if you see Nancy, she's all in. I love it. They gave it everything they had. Brilliant performance. Can't see it enough.

Thanks, Shawn, for being so understanding, kind, and considerate of subscribers/patrons who sometimes request a different version of a song. One of your channel's best parts is spending time with the special friend in your life who listens to your opinion. This Stairway to Heaven reaction is always worth watching again. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. This is one of the best tributes to Led Zeppelin with Ann & Nancy doing the classic song "Stairway To Heaven". No one else could have pulled it off as well. "Heart" have had so many great hits such as "Magic Man", "Crazy on You", "Barracuda", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams", "Alone" etc.

I. AM. SO. IMPRESSED!!! You wouldn’t BELIEVE how many reactors have watched the shortened version of this performance, and NOT ONE of them ever bothered to go back and watch the full thing. (That’s not really surprising, tho… The same is true when they accidentally watch a shortened version of Queen’s famous set at 1985 Live Aid: NO ONE bothers to revisit and see what they missed.) So, this is AWESOME, Thank You! (It’s understandable that this time might be more emotional, cuz you’re seeing the raw performance w/o the hydrogenized editing.)😄

In a perfect world, this cover of Heart's version of Stairway To Heaven would have not been completely chopped up. You would have then seen #1 - The introduction of Jason Bonham, Robert Plant's shock and reaction to Jason playing and Jason's reaction to Plant's reaction (Jason lied and told Plant that he was booked elsewhere when Plant invited Jason was invited to attend this honor). #2 -The guitiar solo in the middle done by Shane Fontayne was chopped in half. #3 - The reaction by Bonnie Rait in the third section- she was nearly jumping out of her chair in the third section. #4 - Robert Plant starting to cry toward the end of the song and Jimmy Page's pure joy in seeing the full choir sing. #5 - After the end of the song, seeing, Jason, Ann, Nancy, JPJ, Plant and Page send love back to eachother. Ive only seen most of this cover once, reviewed by Dicon Dissectional 3 years ago which is still on KZbin. This one, you will see Shane's full guitar solo at least. I think the video itself was taken down off KZbin.
