It is written: PSALM 92: 1 "It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound."

Anglican Communion, a church founded on Biblical injunctions, foundation and Praise unto God. Our heritage is extremely spiritual, melodious through hymns, canticles and chants in accordance to the book of Psalms. I pray we don`t lose this heritage of hymns, melody and chants. It`s second to none when you talk of soul lifting melodious hymns. Plz our Anglican Youths should wake up and follow the footsteps of our parents. This footage and footprints laid shall not be allowed to wipe away. Weldone Guildford Cathedral Choir and the man posting these chants online. God shall bless you.

There is no earthly sound more spiritually uplifting than the music of the Anglican Communion. 👼

😯 " It's all personal!... I'm drawn more to ' Anglican ' Choir music. However, countless Others are uplifted through Gospel and Contemporary Christian music for praise and worship. So long as We're praising The Lord is all that matters. Therefore, in the words of an old saying, ' to each their own ' . "

I am too. My parents, grandparents were staunch Anglicans. We went to Anglican colleges, a tradition we still keep. The Anglican hymns give you all the strength you need through difficult times.

What a glorious heritage of the Anglican Church! Having grown up as an Anglican, with my parents taking their baptismal vows seriously, we sang the Psalms every morning and evening until the day that my father went home to be with the Lord.

There is a real art and beauty to Anglican chanting, both singing and accompaniment, one which most parish churches in this country could do up until the end of the 1990's.

The Psalms, the Canticles and the hymns, are the greatest heritage of the Anglican Communion, without it there's no Anglicanism. Recently, this has been relegated to the background in most Anglican churches in my country Nigeria. Praises and worships copied from the so-called Pentecostal churches have taken over, thus diluting the authentic way of worship. To God Almighty be the glory, we still have it in this form here.

There is no way of displaying so much text with a KZbin video that lasts for more than an hour. However, each of the component psalms, together with its text, has been uploaded separately on this channel. Alternatively, see justus.anglican.org/resources/bcp/1928/Psalms1.htm
