My dear, I understand how you feel about your situation but I’m still going to tell you that this is not the end of time, because so many of us especially we the ladies. So many of us lie in bed and scroll through social media after a breakup. They want to see their ex, check in on what they're doing, and maybe even do a little spying. The man told me everything at 9a Sunday morning at a coffee shop. I am still halfway through the reading, but felt the pull to register this. The fact that he coped with our separation by going around with other women and distractions looking for validation is such a turn-off for me. It makes me feel "just another one" in his eyes, and most importantly, makes me see him in a much less complimentary way. I don't know if anything that made fall madly for him is still there. I was so sure we were both aware that we were the only option for each other, divinely loyal and destined to be together. That we had an unspoken commitment to work on ourselves and disentangle our lives so that we could leave our existing relationships to be together. He shattered that dream and our special bond. He made us ordinary. He may have been testing me, but the thing is: he didn't pass my test. I have been working hard on forgiveness and detaching. I am succeeding, and the more I evolve, the more I feel unimpressed by him and the less I feel the feelings I used to feel and the drive to be with him. He has been circling around me, and all I feel for him is distance and disappointment. And a nostalgia of what it could have been. For a potential comeback, God would have to really work on both of us: on his behavior and on my heart to rekindle the love. It feels like an old memory now.
