My mum and dad and my lovely wife and I used to drink in that pub, back in 1998 to 2001. I have even got a mantel brass ornament that was on the right side of the fireplace. Which in a few episodes could see where it should have been. I did not know where it was from. Until I saw an episode of a scene that was shot in the pub, and could see the pin that it was meant to hang it on the side of the mantel piece. I found the brass outside on the ground, when we were leaving. So I picked it up. I used to buy petrol from the garage opposite the pub too. We spent great times in the pub. Great memories. Saddest part is, our mum is no longer with us.

Loved Tricia in this wonderful series which I watched from Day 1 right until the end. But why oh why did ITV stop it? It was the best series of its type for many years since ITV came onto our screens!

Heartbeat ran for 18 years. The viewing figures had been declining and in 2010 there was the financial crash. ITV relies on ad revenue and, with less viewers combined with the financial crash affecting so much back then, Heartbeat was axed. They should have done a 2 hour special to wrap it up instead of leaving it with Oscar like that.

This is the first time I've seen this, and I am a massive HB fan and have a few interviews with the cast when they appeared on GMTV in 1996, plus Bill Maynard appearing in 1994, but this is the first time I've seen this video. When was this made? I'm guessing around 1996 (series 6)?. Tricia Penrose appeared on GMTV in October 1996 for the Heartbeat week special and she sang this song, so was this made around the same time?. If so I wonder why she never mentioned doing a video for it?. When was this shown? was it only released on the Heartbeat DVD release?.
