As an Italian, i have nothing against the England squad. Full of talent and hope, they did well to get to the final. What i do have a problem with is the behaviour of SOME England fans, who choose to belittle players and opposing supporters. Disrespecting national anthems (almost the whole stadium boo’d). Starting fights before and after the game. Stomping on and burning Italian flags. It’s quite ridiculous how some of you guys have acted. I couldn’t be more happier for those people’s night to end in tears, good riddance, you got what you deserved. As for you Ellis, i’m sorry for the loss bro, you define a good and passionate England fan without all the nonsense involved! With Mancini in Southgate's place, England would have won the tournament. Honestly, Mancini didn't have on his bench half the talent Southgate had on his, but he managed it much better. Southgate's tactics --nothing but Italy's catenaccio of old-- was poor and his substitutions a disaster. They could have closed the match in the first half, while Italy were still stunned, but they parked the bus instead. They deserved to lose.

Italy was the better team, we knew that from the start. England tried to snatch a early goal and then play with 10 defenders, and they almost pulled it of! All and all im glad Italy won, sure, i would love to see Ellis and Jody celebrate the greatest moment of their lives, but Italy played real football, attacking and smart. A final where the defending team wins is not a good final. Also, altough Ellis and Jody are great supporters, english fans really put themselfs in a bad light yesterday, trowing glass at people, attacking stewards to get into the stadium without tickets and not respecting the pitch by forcing yourself onto it and stopping the game, it makes me sad.

A few days after the event, and with the benefit of hindsight, the level of confidence there was prior to the match baffles me…. Even the bookies had England as favourites… the match had already been won not taking into account the pedigree of the Italian team who have been in the final of the euros, not less than 4 times; who have been world champions 4 times, the last time in 2006, still a fresh memory for most Italians…. Playing England who won the World Cup in 1966, 55 years ago and then have not been in any final since; the pedigree just isn’t there. Well done to Italy, very well deserved, they came back from behind and showed who is boss and who has the experience.

I've got nothing against England's team, they seem like such a sound group of talented lads, and there are certainly loads of good fans including yourself. But the way a lot of England fans act and have acted during this tournament, especially on the day of the final, made the way they lost this tournament so sweet. Trashing the place, starting fights, storming the stadium, horrid songs, racially abusing their own players, etc is absolutely disgusting, and they don't deserve the joy of seeing their team succeed. Side note: Stop angering the football Gods by singing "It's Coming Home" you're just tempting fate with that arrogance. Even if you say that's not what it's about, it's how everyone else sees it. As an italian, it was a good match. Honestly being at Wembley, with 55000 english supporters was hard, and taking a goal after 2 mins put things much harder. Some english fan was very overconfident, thinking about the final even before to beat Denmark. I think.is a matter of envitonment: many supporters and the press puts a lot of pressure on player's shoulders. Dropping this attitude, England surely will return to win. Anyway congratulation, you did a great tournament.👏 Unfortunately I know how is to lose a world cup final on penalties (Usa 94) and an Euro final on golden goal (2000).

In my oppinion, Italy in fact got much better on second half with the substitutions they made, and penalties are pretty much an inspirational moment, it can go either way... That being in Italian colors is an absolute joyful pleasure. 16:55 I understand it must suck for you but, after the extreme confidence of English fans, the “it’s coming home” chants, you don’t know how beautiful it is to not only win but do it in a jam-packed Wembley full of England supporters, apart for the 6K - 7K Italians there. This is the video I have been looking forward to for a month, the likes of Ferdinand, Neville and English supporters have been insufferable. 6 out of 7 matches at home, the easiest side of the knockout stages where you didnt have to face France, Portugal or Belgium and a joke of a call on a diving Sterling, to be topped off by some rioting and hateful racist comments towards a 19 year old kid!
