I do agree they really are taking away variety and replacing it with the same coded shows and giving them more labels to pretend it's different. @@marrceihonestly what's crazy about this show is that you got to know a little bit of every character and every storyline went somewhere , it tackled so many issues being trans , ableism and disability , police brutality , predatory behavior (i'm talking about the darren harper thing) , asexuality and that's off the top of my head . This show was everything and even if it didn't get a second season it would be a great show ( i am not okay with this had the issue of everything gets explained in season 2 syndrome on a platform that cancels shows if they're not doubling the revenue) Also i wanted to say this it writes real social media addicted teens that i've never seen done before and the writer at netflix could never

@@Girlboss5002 I totally agree! They only had like eight episodes but we were treated to so much. The attention to detail this show had is pretty interesting. A lot of the shows deals with topics heavily discussed and experienced in this day and age but Malakai's story stuck out to me. I didn't know anything about first nation people or what they go through. And Malakai being taken advantage of feels like a nod at abuse men go through and how it's not considered real. I'm rambling sorry - I wish we could get another season of I am not okay with this.

@@dramaticwater Yeah like she was dealing with the aftereffects of trauma and ongoing reality of an unstable living situation and that's a whole lot to deal with but that doesn't absolve her of any blame for her harmful actions. I feel she's fully allowed to be mad at Amerie for not being there for her when she needed her but she then intentionally chose the worst possible thing that would be the most hurtful to others in every situation for months just because she didn't know how to handle her own trauma and was directing self-destructive behaviour at hurting others and not looking to get any help. She's to blame for that. Absolutely it's understandable and sympathetic to some extent, but someone having a tragic backstory doesn't mean they can just go around hurting others with no faults.
