Still put his record on sometimes. He really was at the beginning of a wonderful time in music in Ireland. He would have been so much fun at summer festivals. RIP Mic.

I discovered and dove into the Irish music scene when I was a teenager. Mic was one of the artists I listened to. Only now, being the same age he was when he passed, I realize how young he was. So much to live... Beautiful tribute!

@@maureenchristopher463 I saw him perform a beautiful show. He was very happy to be on stage again. He was recovered from an accident a year before.Some days later I heard about that terrible bike accident an that he lost his life. Very sad and a strenge feeling about seeing him perform his last gig ever.

I was lucky enough to catch Mic and Glen play an acoustic set in the black box theatre in Galway. It was mics gig. He was great. Only 6 people In the audience for some strange reason. When mics set was finished he invited glen on and they played together for another probably 90 mins. Kept belting out the tunes. They were amazing together. Such great chemistry. I will cherish this gig forever. Thanks Glen for keeping Mic’s music in the spotlight.

I heard first this song sung by Rónán Ó Snodaigh of Kila in a now taken down live recording here on KZbin back in 2010. I've been yearning to hear it again since then, and at last the whole world gets to hear it. Hopefully Rónán's version sees the light of day again too. Tremendous write up by "Stanky" as well, very moving tribute to Mic! 🧡 Side note: 1:45 look at Lisa!
