Holy cow…what a sweet honey hole ! Great finds there fellers. I think it was Matthew that said that he thought those palm sized, dimpled stones were used as palm protectors when drilling. I concur. For years I called all of those nutting stones and I suppose some were but I’m more inclined in recent years to think of them as drill parts. The size of them more strongly reflects that use, to me. Thanks for another great video guys. Enjoyed it, as usual.

I can appreciate what y'all do. I have family out in y'all's area. I may be a novice at digging but have y'all ever considered the hill country west os San Antonio? It's one of the biggest and most inhabited by past natives in the country. There's so much flint and wildlife in that area that they never had to go too far. Anyway, thanks for what y'all do. I really enjoy and have learned a lot from y'all. God bless

You were talking about the light and dark layers of soil; just a thought, but you're next to a creek-- I wonder if the creek had shifted, leaving a nice, flat sandy/clay bank where you're finding a lot of relics, both from being a place the former inhabitants worked and a place where the creek deposited stuff. Then later the creek shifted even further away and you got brush growing on top of the sand/clay and laying down humus, plenty of seasons of leaf/grass debris, the usual wildland fires, etc., and there's your darker soil. Maybe, maybe not; but the strong demarcation generally doesn't happen without a reason.
@HeartbreakerRelics Жыл бұрын
That's kind of the way it works but that little creek has never been up on that hill. The color differences are where over time all the organics have been depleted in the yellow layer and it is virtually sterile. The upper dark layer still has those organics in it and as they are depleted at the bottom of the layer (because it has been there the longest) it gradually loose it's color.

Have missed ya’ll so much. Randy what did you do to your hand? So glad you’re together again.
@HeartbreakerRelics Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Randy stuck a Black Locust thorn in the back of his hand that required two surgeries to remove it all. If we get a chance we are going to try to do a vlog and talk about what has been going on with us over the winter and talk about this.

Always enjoy watching you guys. Would like to go arrowhead hunting again myself. Grew up in Simpson County and there was piece of land there where we would find lots of them. This place we farmed back over 40 years ago. Now knowing what I know now would probably find much more. I could posdibly give you little more info let me know

Excellent vid, men. I really enjoy your channel. What is your theory to why these artifacts are not deeper in the ground. Was it turned over when they put those pole lines in? Spike, praying you get back to 100% health...kayak season is fast approaching.
@HeartbreakerRelics Жыл бұрын
Thanks and good question! It's the same way in the woods on both sides of the powerline. The top soil layer is very thin then there's a layer of the sandyish soil with nothing in it and both layers are only about eight inches deep. then you hit the hard pan. We have never found anything in the below the hardpan. There just isn't enough soil here for them to get any deeper. Why there isn't more soil, I don't know. That would be a question for our state geologist, James Starnes. It I remember I'll ask him the next time we talk.

My Favorite part about this video is when he gave Glory and Honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Son of God !! Roman’s 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt Believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead , thou Shalt be Saved. ONLY Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ, that he died and Resurrected from the dead will get you into Heaven!!
