I remember his first series of salvage hunters , he went around paying fantastic prices for stuff which looked like he didn't even know what half of it was. then when the series ended a lot of it was put up for auction , and made a fraction of the price he paid for it. it was purely a tv program.

I loved the program but couldn't stand him at all ! He gave me the creeps and his " tragedy " from what I can make out was self inflicted, and he is simply reaping what he sowed ! The spin off from it was much more interesting - The Restorers !

Sorry but you are way off the line with your view of Drew. He was a good and loyal employer to his staff and brought a lot of economy to Conwy with the increased footfall when he opened the shop. There is and still remains Jealousy from local people towards him even though he is not a resident anymore. Most f them are the idlers that have not got the Balls to give self employment a try theirselves. I just don’t blame him for moving especially, mostly for being shafted by some people even though those who had become famous and well off at the back of him. You will find there are always two sides to a story. The one side some prefer to absorb into their mind and the real truth which seems to offend some people as it proves the doubters wrong and way off track. Takes two to Tango. And as far as the affair I can only say this. She did not seem to object to it at all until it came out.
