Most of the "forest" areas the govt owns is planted full of timber trees. More fruit trees need to be planted in forests for the animals. Then theyll leave your farms alone

Here in the Netherlands several hundreds of years ago the farmers started to overgraze the land, and during a war in that same time period the scourged earth method was also applied to the land to make sure that the enemy could not provide their army with food and fire wood. As a result the soil started to erode and tall desert dunes started to form, even burying small settlements. The local people got desperate because the eroding areas with the eroding soil and the tall sand dunes kept growing. But then people started to plant trees, and it took several generations, but eventually they were able to stop the erosion. To this date that forest with the sand dunes still exists. Now it is a national park, and the people from the forestry service are working hard to preserve the sand dunes and the forest. It is one of the largest inland sand dunes areas in Europe, and it has its own micro climate. It goes to show that even in a fertile land as the Netherlands the land can become a desert when the people are doing the wrong thing. But the land can also be restored again when people do the right thing. It might be a little easier here in the Netherlands because here we have no shortage of water. But it doesn't take much water once the trees have an established root system, and when the soil is able to store water, and when the soil and the micro organisms receive enough biomass to make sure that the nutrients do not get depleted. This video about this very special project in India is very inspiring, and I hope that more people in India, and other dry regions in the world will learn and benefit from this beautiful example of people who are doing the right thing. 👍

I've seen what people have accomplished in creating dry areas into lush green. If there is rain and flowing river, you can create a Rainforest with animals, medical plants and trees, fruit etc. to survive for animals and humans.

Great initiative! But is this sustainable? Instead of trying to build a rainforest where you have to use rain guns, let us focus on indigenous varieties of trees. The first two that comes to my mind are Peepal and Banyan.

Growing trees according to locality is always good then trying to grow non local trees. Ultimately it is not sustainable solution and your using soo much of underground water which itself is not good.

Nature in its supreme intelligence grows right species at right places. Creating rain forest (equatorial forest ) not where it is supposed to be will require more of mother nature than needed (rain guns needed). Instead of blissing out in some euphoria, why not look at Miyawakis method of creating forest? it uses mother natures own resources. Doing good (appearing to be doing good) at the cost of others (mother nature) does not increase overall good. Humans have done such mistakes always and destroyed local species in name of conservation and greening

I feel very bad That our people are not concern about our nature , even illiterate people in GULF REGION he got to know about the importance of river , so they started to dig the making in of artificial river .
