Yes he is, and luckily he is not able to be played in standard since he was of the gvg set. Dr. Boom was the go to legendary to craft or hope to get

In case you're a new player, Dr Boom is a GvG legendary. GvG (goblins versus gnomes) is the first expansion in hearthstone. With the arrival of the standard format, GvG packs are no longer avalaible for sale, but you can still craft the cards to play them in the wild format. Boom is THE overpowered legendary, it can fit in almost any deck, and is that kind of legendary that can catch you up on board, if you're behind, or straight up win the game if you were already in good shape. Many players complained about it, now it's use is restricted to wild, but other legendaries have taken it's place as the OPiest of legendaries. Yogg Saron comes to mind...

Funny you talked about game design on this one. My friend and I are actually trying to build a game from the ground up in Tabletop Simulator. It's a mix of deckbuilding and tabletop RPG where you build giant mechs with part cards and then duke it out on a grid-based field. Brian, do you have any suggestions or tips for those of us trying to tackle something like making your own game?

I didn't know you worked on the WoW TCG. I enjoyed it! I bought boxes for loot cards to use or sell and ended up really liking the game itself. Speaking of WoW, did you actually play WoW, Brian? Why do people hate Dr. Boom? Yeah even though it was an insane card, it just isn't that annoying to deal with. I hate priest and paladin as a whole class (basically all their cards) waaaay more than Dr. Boom. *5 seconds later* "Rank 20 bro"

I actually agree. I have that view on many cards people are/were complaining about. Like Shredder, Dr. Boom, Knife Juggler, Muster for Battle, etc. etc. But cards like Entomb and stuff are really getting on my nerves xD

The fact that you think that just proves you have never been up in the high ranks. Priest is by far the weakest class and entomb is not that powerful as it is usually takes up their entire turn. And BTW shredder and all your listed cards were the most powerful cards that existed and so they often complained about because they are so over powered.

David Bowen Well, you're right, i've never made it to a higher rank than rank 5, thats true. And... yeah, your arguments make sense, no question about that. But it's just how i feel about playing against those cards. If a priest entombs my stuff, it feels just bad. Like "oh thank you, you played a card for me, i'll take that". But if someone drops a shredder, it's just nothing about it, because everbody used to play that. Yeah, it's overpowered, but you just expect that a shredder comes down on turn 4, so there is really nothing special about it. Sure, you expect an entomb too, but the only way to play around it, is to not play a big thread. But if you don't play your big threads, while the priest is just dropping all of his stuff, your just constantly behind and that feeling is just annoying. I don't know if you got what i wanted to say, but thats how it is :D

David Bowen Well just as the guy above me said. I don't even get angry AT ALL when facing hunter or dying at turn 3. In fact, I would be amazed if someone can kill me by turn 3. With that said, Entomb is the kind of card that makes you paranoid and so salty when it's played against you. I'm also including cards from Wild when it comes to Priest like Lightbomb. Honestly Priest and Paladin are the two classes I hate the most just because of their cards.
