The lifesteal mechanic should be great against pirates. Against aggro in general it is a very strong mechanic in other card games.

Yeah, it's weak, but the reason I like the card is because it isn't a win condition in itself, all Amara does is give you a strong minion on the board and buy you time, which means that you still need to have another win condition around it aside from the deathrattles and design your deck accordingly. Currently that win condition for my deck is Medivh and the 5/8/10 cost priest spells (don't have N'zoth, which would be the obvious choice), and when it works it's pretty fantastic. However, the deathrattles in play right now are just too weak and lose to aggro a lot before I can even get her out. I've haven't gotten past rank 14 with this deck, but I'm hoping that changes with the expansion. It's a really fun deck to play.

William Fimple I found myself thinking Quest cards were the 4th type....Also Jaraxxus is not a hero card. It is still a demon/creature which is why the "destroy a demon" works on him/the player. Also by the looks of it the new hero cards replace the hero but without changing their current Lifepoints so at best they are essentially a template with a new hero power, jaraxxus flat out replaces your hero and changes HP regardless.

They are technically different, although I thought the same thing when they first brought it up. However if you actually look at the hunter version preview there's no way it could ever be played on board in ways that Jaraxxus can. Regardless I'm not sure how that upsets you in the first place.

nothing much, his hp will remain the same, he will get some armor and the hero power will get replaced, the new hero cards is a deathknight version of the basic heroes, so if you happen and use an alt look for the hero they will still switch to their original deathknight after playing this card, its a hero switching not an upgrade

they can't over-saturate an expansion with too many new mechanics. there are only so many cards they can release in a given expansion, and they need to make sure that the cards they do release are able to complement each other and have some synergy. we might not be getting an undead tribe this time around, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of it in the future.
